Then IC came out, and I'm seriously distraught because it's like something that was going to make me so happy was absolutely crushed. IC was just so bad, it ruined the game in so many ways, and I'm just... depressed now. I put so much time into those two months, it was right before college started, and I had a ton of time. Now, there's nothing for me in this game. Just a VR16 lump of pixels. Can someone please tell me it will get better?
Here is a novel idea. Since you have less free time and need something to fill the void, why don't you put that energy into your studies and experience the college social life! Come back in December on your xmas break and hype yourself up to play the upcoming DLC expansion.

didn't know my dad was on these forums
The thread title makes me want to slap the **** out of you tbh. You should be out chasing tail not watering up over a goddamned video game.

"Just a VR16 lump of pixels" That's all any of us have. No matter how awesome a time you have in a video game, you never get anything but an experience at the end.
The problems start when people see their time in an mmo as some kind of "life investment". It is really a bad idea to take this kind of stance over something you have absolutely no control over. Game could shutter it's doors tomorrow and your "investment" goes *poof*.
My advice is don't hang on to a game in the hopes that it will "get better". If you are not having a good time, find something else to do with your free time. Leave advice for ZoS when you quit as to why you left.
If you want a hobby that gives you something at the end, take up a sport or something. You get real lifelong skills, fitness, health and social benefits that are way better than playing video games.
The other games competition wise have stated they plan to support the game for x amount of years. It makes it easier to spend your Time and money in and the game knowing you have 9 more years to go.
If you are trying to make youtubes or become a streamer or make income gaming related this uncertainty also does not help. It's easier to go to a more populated game to get your start. If that game has a definite fan base with a definitive 10 year pLan you are more inclined to stay.
Finally what if this guy had hid share of tail in high school? What if he's trying to max his new gaming rig. The responses I've read here are not acceptable.

Sounds like someone who finds mediocrity acceptable. A hint of defeat and a touch of reality. Is this how it ends?
I'm in the same boat. I stopped playing, giving it 'til October 15th so ZOS can hopefully make some changes.Treasure_Goblin wrote: »Bought this game about 2 months ago. Was so much fun. Thought to myself, "this is the game I'm going to spend all my time on, nothing else."

Life isn't always fair. Fighting the good fight is all well and good, but not everything is a battle that has to be won.
You sound young, so I'll just smile at you and say "bless you"

That's a philosophy and coping mechanism of someone who doesn't win. Look if another game has a 10 year plan, giant fan base, huge opportunity, and the game runs well and smooth than they understand winning. They must be young

All ZOS had to do with IC was add a great PvE quest to rid Molag Bal's army from the city and then offer some great PvP challenges like "claim a district" (4v4v4) or "Arena Duels" (cross or same faction).

That would have actually been pretty epic. I agree.

Yes, 2 months is nothing compared to 1,5 year with 3000+ hours spent in the game.Treasure_Goblin wrote: »I put so much time into those two months, it was right before college started, and I had a ton of time. Would need to see it in action to judge. Used it in LOTRO, and it was meh. Although I think it could be way more interactive and responsive with this game.
