Bought this game about 2 months ago. Was so much fun. Thought to myself, "this is the game I'm going to spend all my time on, nothing else."

Then IC came out, and I'm seriously distraught because it's like something that was going to make me so happy was absolutely crushed. IC was just so bad, it ruined the game in so many ways, and I'm just... depressed now. I put so much time into those two months, it was right before college started, and I had a ton of time. Now, there's nothing for me in this game. Just a VR16 lump of pixels. Can someone please tell me it will get better?

I know what you mean but the only thing keeping me motivated is having fun in Cyrodiil with the local Azura's Star trouble makers and umm getting my Alliance War rank up. 23 so far, almost half way! but other than that, I don't really know tbh.

I only have 1 character above level 10 so if I was -that- bored, I'd probably just level up a few more for more CP and stuff, I guess.

    This is just a game.
Play it and find your fun in game.
Join a group in IC. It's another kind of fun.

Here is a novel idea. Since you have less free time and need something to fill the void, why don't you put that energy into your studies and experience the college social life! Come back in December on your xmas break and hype yourself up to play the upcoming DLC expansion.

IC = 2 new instances and the Tel Var trader for V16 Repora runes, that' all.

Otherwise it is the most disgusting combination of grind + rng I have ever seen in a MMO.

Such drama! I waited 2 years for IC, some love it but for me I'd go as far as calling it Horse Armour and the patch that came with it just put me right off the game.

All ZOS had to do with IC was add a great PvE quest to rid Molag Bal's army from the city and then offer some great PvP challenges like "claim a district" (4v4v4) or "Arena Duels" (cross or same faction).

must admit, IC for me is a bit meh... the mobs in the sewers arent solo friendly to most classes, i was expecting something akin to Darkness Falls in DAOC, it is the same producer after all, but in order to progress through the sewers you have to get past multiple VERY hard hitting mobs and they come in packs, id have prefered some more solo friendly content, guess im waiting on Orsinium really now.

Imperial City isn't bad it can be fun it that ZOS didn't think all the way through. One of the problems I suffer alot from it that's really my only problem with it is that enemy players can just literally camp and spawn kill out side your base door (mainly AD and DC at the EP door.).

Like what do you sad players gain spawn trapping players at there base and PvEing in there starter zones? Not like any one is gonna have any TVS on them.

Get a group of 2-8 folks together and go do some district quests together, maybe engaging in some PVP along the way. Every single time I've done that, we've all had a blast - even if at some point we got stomped by a zerg or some PVPers who are actually good at PVP (unlike myself and most of the people I tend to group with).

"Just a VR16 lump of pixels" That's all any of us have. No matter how awesome a time you have in a video game, you never get anything but an experience at the end.

The problems start when people see their time in an mmo as some kind of "life investment". It is really a bad idea to take this kind of stance over something you have absolutely no control over. Game could shutter it's doors tomorrow and your "investment" goes *poof*.

My advice is don't hang on to a game in the hopes that it will "get better". If you are not having a good time, find something else to do with your free time. Leave advice for ZoS when you quit as to why you left.

If you want a hobby that gives you something at the end, take up a sport or something. You get real lifelong skills, fitness, health and social benefits that are way better than playing video games.

Welcome to the club, bro. I feel exactly the same.
But I invested already 1.5 years in this game, so it hurts even more.
Interesting stories, characters, objektives, gameplay modes? None. It is just "grind for gear".

Says you. An MMORPG is only what you yourself make it out to be. The potential to do anything in it has always been there, you just have to find it.

I agree. From 1 to v16 all I did was grind for gear. Never did I see 100's of hours of fully voiced quests that had Interesting stories, objectives, and characters. Plus there was no crafting or pvp or achievements along the way either. Wait, wait. Nevermind, all of those things were present. Disregard.

I think that if you mix it up, IC + Cyrodiil, then you could potentially still have fun. I enjoy doing PvE but mostly I prefer to PvP... but PvP can be so frustrating at times... especially if you are DC which is what I am, that sometimes you need a break from playing the underdog and that is where PvE fits in nicely. I don't get zerged by NPC's.

I have had a lot more fun in IC compared to Cyrodiil. Most of the time, I have found less large/massive groups in IC and as such PvP tends to be more enjoyable because of lesser amounts of foes to fight. It is smaller scaled PvP which is what I prefer. Now if only I could get the small scale PvP in ESO that I truly love... battleground style PvP!

Find a new game. ZoS doesn't admit their mistakes and a lot of these changes are here to stay.

Imagine how many people actually did put all of their time into this game, and are now feeling the same way.

Now that trolling is aside, I'm going to be completely honest.

This game is not for you. Several threads you've mentioned how much the game sucks and how unhappy you are. The joke thread here and there is absolutely acceptable, but what is not is the forums being littered with pointless mewling.

The other games competition wise have stated they plan to support the game for x amount of years. It makes it easier to spend your Time and money in and the game knowing you have 9 more years to go.

If you are trying to make youtubes or become a streamer or make income gaming related this uncertainty also does not help. It's easier to go to a more populated game to get your start. If that game has a definite fan base with a definitive 10 year pLan you are more inclined to stay.

Finally what if this guy had hid share of tail in high school? What if he's trying to max his new gaming rig. The responses I've read here are not acceptable.
