So I discovered a Macroer.... on Console

I recently finished a quest to get some island back for the King and after I had finished it , there was a Daedroth with a banekin trailing behind it like a vanity pet. They would go across a bridge, down to a campfire and circle it a few times and go back over the bridge. That's all they did repeatedly. They couldn't be interacted with at all, took no damage, no GT or creature names over them, but the Daedroth would push me out of the way if I stood in its path rather than pass right through me. I should have recorded it . Bot of some kind?

That sounds more like a glitch...

Players do not have collision with other players, nor do their vanity pets. This is how certain tactics work (such as dodging Wrecking Blow by moving forward) and also reduces the calculations the server has to do. NPCs do, however, have collision with players and each other.

It was just really odd to see if nothing else...I was like ...."uhhhhhhh, ok? " LOL
At first I thought someone had somehow modded things to get a Daedroth skin until after watching it, I noticed the pattern in its travels. I watched it for a few rounds, then went about my business lol.

Were you in the merchant district of Eyevea? Because that happens there intentionally and
is neither a bug nor a glitch at all.

YES! I was! Thank you I'm glad you mentioned that. I just did a quick Google search with that info and found it mentioned in part of the article .

It looks to me as if this person is using a modded controller. There are console controllers which have built in and downloadable mods which give you the advantage in a variety of games/scenarios.

Personally, I am not and don't like cheaters as they ruin games with a quickness...just putting it out there that such things exist and are non-detectable and easily purchased.

ESO is a cheaters paradise. If gold is still for sale on Eb** then the mechanisms and manners will go unhindered.

You can download macros for the consoles to do various task such as automatically lock pick (it detects th rumbles), fishing, looting then logging off then back in etc.

They are quite ingenious and from what I can see don't affect the gameplay for everyone else.

And that's why sometimes you get hit with 5-6 attacks at once and die before you can blink.

That happened to me two weeks ago, I did mention it to a guy I was gaming with and he said it was lag, but this one guy/girl took me down three times with 5+ crystal fragments within the blink of an eye of seeing him, I just couldn't figure out how he/she was casing that spell so fast, it usually takes me 2.5 seconds to cast that spell once. even tried creeping up on him as he was waiting outside our sewer door, as soon as mage light hit him/her I was dead!

so am I now right in thinking this was not lag and some other form of mechanics being used?

I remember when Madcats made a controller for the PS2 that had a Macro function to it. You could program s chain of buttons.

I doubt it in that instance. Crystal Frag likely didn't proc 5 times in a row for the instant cast. There's no way for a macro to speed up a hard cast frag (at least not to my knowledge).
