instant kill traps? when will they be fixed?

well since i obviously cant put anyones name in it im just gonna point out whats happening basically people are exploiting with ur trap beast i dont see why you didnt fix it this morning im extremely ticked off i cant even discuss whats happening with your guys game to make it better or maybe it was the people that posted on it agreeing with me but you guys need to fix ur trap beast no reason it should instant kill anyone i will no longer be playing in your imperial sewers till you fix your game im not the only one there are alot more people who have no desire now to play in a small quarters pvp area with people spamming instant kill button everywhere your community is mad at you zenimax and im even more mad you wont let me speak my voice and talk about the issues in your game i hope my last thread got taken down due to a name in the post as u can see theres no names here so i hope this thread stays up this needs to be talked about and taken care of asap not when its convenient... alot of players that put in serious time just dont wanna play at the moment because of this exploit... we pay good money for this game we shouldnt have to deal with these issues...

    I quit eso a few day ago because they seem like they don't want to patch thing quickly. Come on take 2 months to do a quick hotfix to make it so pigs dont drop a certain item or have a instant pop up. Glad I want back to FFXIV sucks because I saved money and my legendary heavy armor upgrades to make my full set of v16 and the full big update mainly pvp ><

    It helps if you set out what the problem is. Currently all your post says to me is that you are probably a Vampire or WW that is being killed by a skill that is meant to do a lot of damage to you.

    Is there any actual problem you can identify with the skill?
    PUG Life - the true test of your skill

    18 characters, 17 max level, at least 1 Stam and 1 Mag of every class, 1 of every race and 1200+ CP

    Tanked to Undaunted 9+ Mag and Stam of every class using Group Finder for 90+% of the Vet Dungeon runs

    That trap is bugged, I encountered it today from a particular AD individual that was trying to kill my friend and I (I was helping him with a quest). He didn't succeed because he was not very good, but that trap skill is ridiculous right now. It fires with damage constantly unless you die or break the cc. I saw it doing the same thing to mobs too. It's busted.
    Semi retired from the trading aspects of the game.

    This came up in zone chat 2 days ago in IC. Enemy player/players were dropping trap beast at the sewer entrance. According to the person talking about this, trap beast is over powered, being exploited.
    Your immersion is breaking my entitlement. Buff Sorc's.     Yes, there are some possibilities(*) with one the trap beast skills that allows it to cause absurd amounts of damage in a specific scenario or two, but that bug has been reported, multiple times i believe, and is likely being looked at. They simply can't see a broken skill and go - Pling. fixed.
    The fact that most reports also were more like complaints than actual reports doesn't help zeni much.. I myself died for that couple times, but i took my time to see what happened, (combat logs / addons with dmg reports etc.) and sent that info in the report.

    Until then, just try your best to avoid spikes in the ground...
    and please add some commons and paragraphs on ur post.

    Is this skill actually broken right now? Someone sent me a hate tell last night accusing me of exploiting with this, but I don't even have skill points in it and nobody in my group would admit to using it, so unless some other AD came by and used it I think we've just got a case of runaway rumors.

    Use rearming trap everyone. It's second trap can aoe trap, it can also proc so instant kill 50k dps and also kill you but not bring up death screen. So you can return stats but be sliding around the floor dead till you get dc
    This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.

    My first point is that I will never die to this skill. Because I am solo it will not rearm. Because I am not a vampire it will hardly hurt me.

    Before I get to my final point / conclusion I want to say the people that struggle with this skill are 'bombgroups' and 'zergers' because it rearms for each idiot (sorry) that doesn't see it or doesn't know how to counter it (dodgeroll.)

    For me, how the skill currently works is perfect. It busts up the big brainless groups in a bad way.
    For this purpose this skill (hands down) kicks the crap out of Proximity Detonation. Any PvPer will tell you Proximity Detonation works in the bombgroups favour.

    MORE SKILLS LIKE THIS PLEASE. EVEN IF THE REPROC FOR EACH TARGET IS NOT INTENTIONAL.

    - Orken.
    If your group is bigger than 6 members gain 75% damage reduction.

    Write this on the back of your box and see how many sales you get!

    You won't get any new PvP players until this archaic AoE crap is fixed.
    I for one won't resub until:
    1.) You fix lag.
    2.) You remove AOE caps we voted against.
    3.) 12 months have passed (this is how long we've waited for you to 'get with it')[/b]

    It is rearming infinitely for every person, and then damaging them over and over every half second with no cooldown. The only reason you love it is because (until now) no one else has been using it. It is 100% broken and not doing anything like what the tooltip says. Anyone using it with this knowledge in their brain is exploiting. Big surprise no one used it until today.

    Just wait until a zerg of 30 drop these all around you insta-killing you and not allowing you to even move about from your home base. How good a zerg buster will it be then?

    Sure, it's all fun and games until someone loses an eye..

    Yesterday a Red zerg came into the AD sewers and left these all over the starting area. Anyone trying to go out solo would get wailed on by these.. dodge roll 3 times to get past them all.. make it 10' into the second room and get swarmed by the zerg (including a former emperor). We eventually had to put a 24 man zerg together to kick the bozos out of our sewers. So your scenario didn't stop zergs it *INCREASED* the need for them. Still think they're a great idea?

    You can roll out of it to stop the damage.

    Yeah, until you're in a group, walk into one when a new member joins, and you lag for 2 seconds waiting for the UI to correct itself and are treated to a death recap.

    Or you hit one and roll forward into a second one.. Now, do you roll forward into a possible third or roll back knowing you'll definitely hit a third.. you've got 0.2s to make up your mind.. too late, you're dead.

    Or... and I know this is highly unlikely.. ZOS fixes the bug and neither of the first two things happen.

    I just love the "helpful" text on recap screens.

    Did you know you could buy potions to restore Health, Stamina, or Magicka? And I'm sure Rune Prison or Encase will be an awesome response to a trap left on the ground by a toon hiding in the next room.

    What useful and insightful tips. Gee, how do people complain about "L2P" with such excellent in-game advice?

    no i am neither a werewolf or vampire what they are doing is getting the rearming trap morph and making camo hunter proc with it making it instant kill you whoever figured this out is a mad genius cuz all you have to do is sit in stealth with camo hunter and wait for instant kills and stones and ap to follow

    The problem with the skill isnt the damage, that's fine. The problem is that it bugs out my game to where I'm dead but not dead forcing me to alt+f4 the client, wait for the server to time me out before I can log back in, and then relog before I can do anything and continue playing the game. Fix that and I could care less if it instant kills.

    It's arming rate is also really inconsistent, some mobs it arms instantly others with the 1.5 delay.

    ok you obviously dont see the proble,ms with this skill if they sit there and spam it on you it can bug you out and you have to re open yyour whole game and beat the load screen bosses again i dont even care that it kills me and yes i can roll dodge out of it but you only have so much stamina and when 6 peeps are spamming it on you in stealth its game over like gg its not a l2p issue their skill is not working as they intended it to if it was a l2p issue i wouldnt be making a thread about it trust me i 1vx all the time has nothing to do with l2p its fix your game more like it i havent stepped foot into the sewers since i made this post lol

    The problem with the skill isnt the damage, that's fine.     exactly fix that most that time it doesnt even instant kill me unless everyones spamming it on me i just dont like having to go through all those load screens just to play the game again....

    Read my comment again... If you still think I'm for these traps you've read something into my comment I didn't intend. I was making an observation that even if the claim they break up zergs was something to be happy about they actually don't work. They create the need for 24 man teams to wipe out the problem. ZOS needs to make a statement on this -- is it an exploit or is it working as intended? We can't even seem to get that out of them. If it's intended then I think they just destroyed IC in less then a month. It'll be a ghost town inhabited by camo trappers and nothing else.
