Funny thing is, I know that stuff on the left is called Canadian bacon, but as someone who has lived in Canada my whole life, I don't know any Canadians who think of that when they're thinking about bacon. Don't get me wrong, it's tasty, but it's not bacon.newtinmpls wrote: »Tannakaobi wrote: »I just voted no as I thought I'd be the only one. Apparently not...
I love Bacon really. But not that rubbish Americans call bacon!
I'm curious as to the difference. As an American, I love thin sliced crispy bacon served still hot after parking briefly on paper towels to get the worst of the grease off (because frying bacon SHOULD render a pan of grease).
I've seen thicker sliced bacon, but its not crispy enough
Standard American bacon is cut from the belly, English bacon and most EU bacon is from the back, it's a very different flavour, American has a lot more fat in it and thus a more fatty taste so doesn't need to be smoked and cured whereas most English bacon will be either smoked or cured to give it flavour. In the UK we do also have a similar bacon to the American type which we call streaky bacon.
Canadian bacon on the left, American bacon/Streaky Bacon top right and English/Danish bacon bottom right.

If Sheogorath had an egg cheese and bacon omelet, he might actually behave himself more often.
But knowing him, he'd just curse us all to spam spam spam spam spam spam baked beans spam spam spam and spam, keeping all the bacon and cheese tied up in an epic, neverending Daedric quiche.
Of course, the adorable bristlegut pigs would be safe from this action...
So yes, let there be bacon for all of Tamriel!

Btw (not bacon but ESO food related), I found some of these "Orcish Bratwurst on Bun" recipes, is "Bratwurst" also a word used in the English language? Because that's a German word.. like Sauerkraut, or Gesundheit, or Kindergarten (which are used by Americans). I'm German myself, so I'm just curious^^
Bratwurst is used all over the world because bratwurst is the name of a specific type of German sausage so the word doesn't get translated. Just like pepperoni is an Italian word but is still peperoni in German, or Bolognese doesn't translate, and snickers would still be snickers in German, and so on.
They should have bacon in game and call it 'Humanoid treats'.

You've actually just described my favorite pizza. That's exactly what I typically order when I get pizza.newtinmpls wrote: »I know that stuff on the left is called Canadian bacon, but as someone who has lived in Canada my whole life, I don't know any Canadians who think of that when they're thinking about bacon. Well.... I don't think of it as 'bacon' either, but it's pretty good on pizza with green/bell peppers and pineapple.

I see your cookies and raise you six egg and bacon cupcakes!
Nothing and no one should ever be without bacon, it's blasphemous.

Actually, Bratwurst although used in the UK is not especially well known.

Ham isn't bacon - and we don't have ham in the game. You probably meant to say pork?chevalierknight wrote: »Not voting as we allready do ham is bacon
