Should I change faction?

Hi guys

Im currently a lvl 25 redguard stamina nb, and my favourite thing to do is pvp. However, I see that Daggerfal Covenant is losing everything at Cyrodiil, and that worries me. Should I take advantage of my low lvl and create an other faction char? Like EP?

Some of the best players in the game are DC. But it does happen to be the least populated faction. I switched to AD early on and have enjoyed it so it might be worth considering.

Stay DC.  We are a minority population, but that makes us better players. Plus, the best people you'll find in DC. Join the Skull of Corruption campaign. Tell them the Trueborn Guild sent ya!

If your only L25, roll an alt in the other two alliances. That way you can PvP with whomever you want to.

why not try a different campaign? in the non vet one I was in last the covenent controlled EVERYTHING for the first part, then the dominion took it all somehow, then the pact I guess the guys just wanted to get the emperor trophy and left but I still had some great one on one battles, those are my favorite types I don't even care as much if I loose if it is 1V1.

On a related note, there was some 1v1s with some AD on MON night, they were actually very cool, and skilled. Raised my AD respect bar.

You can always style yourself as a mercenary lol.
You may not be trusted by Any of them, however.

yeah, the only AD I fought one on one was very skilled and I must admit if the environment we were in didn't mess up his ultimate he probably would have won. I can always muster respect people who can take me out one on one but zergs make me have to turn off the mic to use language that could get me suspended on the forums... another cool one was finding another solo person in DC and going with the saying "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" and both of us failing... this was a week ago I have recently been trying to get a new character just for PVP, wish me luck!

I'm loyal to people, not factions. I've made friends all over this game and I enjoy playing with them.

Are you PC or console? I have no advice for console, but on PC the actual PvP guilds seem relatively balanced in population at the moment. EP only owns the whole map because a couple key guilds are taking everything while everyone else is focused on the Imperial City content. It'll all get competitive again when people are geared and the PvE influx dies down.

...sometimes your side is having the edge, sometimes it feels like all your allies are sleeping in their beds at home and dreaming of what might be if they had fought on the other side...

Personally I have alts in each alliance, though I PvP mainly on my pact mains... might send my DC orcess alt into cyrodil too though, someday, to see how it goes... perhaps my AD healer girl as well...

In the end, it all depends. Sometimes fighting from a low population can be rewarding as well... more to do reconquering lost ground then on servers where your alliance has everything under their control and there is noone to fight... though that can vary widely depending on which alt the major PvPers want to play right now... it probably helps to find a big PvP-oriented guild to tag along with I suppose...

Seriously though if the wins more important than the fight to you probably best going elsewhere

Men'do's right. DC does just fine normally, pvp is just a bit weird atm bc all the major guilds are busy gearing up and grinding instead of pvping. The map will normalize when they return to pvp.

On another note, OP is the reason crown store character faction transfers are a bad idea. Too many people want to bandwagon onto the winning team, creating further imbalance.

Sure change faction, but remember EP and AD don't have the famous Barry Scott the salesman so you'll miss out on a good bargain

all my char are DC (except for mules).
it used to annoy me, that we were always underpop.

then i came to an epiphany.
great warriors / players become great..not because they have numbers, ability, or builds.

you can only become great, being the underdog.
we are amazed when we watch sypher, flyff or Hova (we miss ya) 1vxx.

But, you can only become this good, when you are the underdog.
(be it solo or group)...

Well look I have friends on all the factions too but to me when I want to play with someone on DC or EP, it means I am trying to kill them. Nothing personal!

That was true back in January. Unfortunately people kept re-rolling DC all summer thinking this, and probably still are.

Thank you for your comments, its not like I'm not loyal or anything, I don't have anything to be loyal on this game yet, thats why I asked.

You guys would feel the same way, if u enjoy pvp a lot and join a faction that is 3rd place in almost all campaigns. Feels weird.

I don't know if it's the new update like some said, I'm literally a newb =P

But I'll probably stick with DC for now

There are benefits and setbacks to each alliance, as much as I want players to stick to DC, choose the one where most of your friends are.

Games are fleeting, friendships can last a life time.
