@nihonseanb14_ESO I haven't seen anyone say this yet so ill say it here. This, to me, is an obvious move away from crafting the best gear towards not buying gear but buying mats for the best gear (Crown Store).

With mats that take forever to get also requiring thousands of mats for one set or thousands of TV stones for a full set... its as much of a grind as CP's are themselves.

Everyone was crying about the extra VR they had to earn and I'm sure some folks at ZoS were snickering at those posts thinking to themselves wait till they see what it takes to make a set of VR16 armor heh heh.

I can understand why they did it, though. Considering it takes a few hours to get from V14 to V16, if it was also possible to craft new gear right away then people would complain about lack of content within days of the content coming out.

Not sure you though this all the way through....

They know that PvE people hardly group up to do anything so they will almost always be solo and be pathetically easy pray for them to exploit. Also it was a push to also get PvE'ers to buy their DLC.

What? Allt he pve'ers i meet in IC (i know because of their low rank) are in big groups and most likely to zerg you down. The type of people who, the second they take damage, run to their large group for cover.

But they did! They knew all to well exactly what they was doing. They put the new PvE grind and new crafting stuff behind the PvP door. The bios PvP developers want more fresh meat to easily gank and grieve. They know that PvE people hardly group up to do anything so they will almost always be solo and be pathetically easy pray for them to exploit. You understand this is a mixed PVP / PVE game right? they have been very clear about that since production. If you want everything you will need to do both. This is NOT a game that seperates PVP and PVE. if you want that then GW2 would be great for you.

You can play the dungeons without going into the IC area, and just porting to the dungeons themselves.

You have to love this rubbish.

How do you get the lorebooks and skyshards by 'somehow' teleporting to a dungeon (that you don't have on your map yet because you haven't been close enough to open the map up)...

So much rubbish coming from you pvpers it's like standing next to a cesspit at clearout time.

Why so much hate for the PvP players?

You do know this is not SkyrimWithFriends right?..... Right?

This update was for the PvPers and it will probably be the only one they get for a year or more so just calm down man.. The next DLC "and the 4 others after that" will be for the PvE players.. Why all of the QQ?

    Just like in Cyrodiil.
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

the lashing out im guessing is because:
1.) devs arent responding(they would have to actually listen first).
2.) new crafted armor sets can only be crafted in the new PVP area, whether they are good or not is not the point
3.) new dungeons are in a PVP area, which you have to cross part of cyrodiil to get to.seriously how hard is that?
4.) new PVP influenced armor that can only be had by getting tel var stones, which involves farming in PVP zones.
5.) new crafting writs, materials for vr15-16 gear can only be had inside PVP zone(yes you can get them from farming the dungeons inside the the PVP zone, which if you have group or unlocked it on the map you can skip the "scary" pvp stuff).

seriously though i suck at pvp and i accomplish something new everyday in the "scary pvp" zone. my only issue so far is the horrendous lag and some guy ganking me right before i finish a quest objective. seriously? your not gonna get anything til AFTER i kill the mobs!!!

    Dungeons. They all scale up.

    Awesome! Rehash the rehash.

Unfortunately there is zero progression in this DLC and little content. You can get into the 2 new dungeons after discovering them without pvping, but how long before those become old news. After that where do you progress to?... Orsinium will be at the end of the year and hopefully will have much more content than this DLC.

I repeat that should separate the two things PvE from PvP , not all people like to fight against other players , especially when playing alone and the system is out of balance , so that's why I decided not to buy IC and not to renew my subscription right now I'm playing just to complete wrist and research . There are many other games where it's worth paying a subscription , but not this , too bad because the base is there, but I see that you are focusing on PvP and losing many players like me...taking inspiration from other MMO can help! Pay for 4 dlc/year is like to pay for a subscription , we can not also subscribe to several months and receive a discount at least for ps4 not know for PC

There are and have been ALOT MMOs that seperate PVE and PVP.

ESO is NOT, alot of us have been asking for another MMO that MIXES PVP and PVE and we are glad ESO is finally here because it has been along time since Darkage of Camelot came out

This is a mixed PVP / PVE game. They have been very clear about that since production. If you want everything you will need to do both. This is NOT a game that seperates PVP and PVE. if you want that then GW2 would be great for you or one of the otehr many MMOs. But dont come to ESO knowing that and expect them to change that to cater you what you want.

I've seen this mentioned a few times in various threads now, so i'll clarify some here. Imperial City is meant for the PVP player - it's their turn for some love. If you love PVE and are clamoring for more of that type of content, the Orsinium DLC will be exactly what you want.

After that where do you progress to?... Orsinium will be at the end of the year and hopefully will have much more content than this DLC.

There are two separate problems. And people conflate the two, and confuse an argument against one for an argument against the other.

    1. The content is for PvPers and PvP/PvEers. I love to PvE in Cyrodiil... but it did get old without new areas to explore, and just recycling the same quest lines. IC is awesome for someone like me. I get to explore a whole new area, and access quests and dungeons, never really needing to leave Cyrodiil to do so. We haven't had *any* new content since the game has been released, and this is a breath of fresh air.
    2. The content added 2 VRs, and gear for those VRs. People wrongly say that you have to go to IC to get these things. The other ways aren't as new, but they do exist.

The argument above was to address the fallacy that you can't progress to VR16 and get VR16 in without going to IC. (See point 2). You're trying to address it to point 1... when the correct answer for that one is you've received all of the content updates up until now. You're getting another update around the end of the year.

Don't begrudge us our time in the sunshine.

I'm sure that there will be people griping when Orsinium comes out that PvPers get nothing. You can direct them to IC, as you rightfully enjoy your juicy new content at that point.

Go to whatever campaign your alliance is strongest in. Get in a huge group. Run your alliance portion of the sewers and stay tight. You will never be ganked and get tons of loot.

There is barely any PvP in the imperial city. Just boring mobs.
