Zoning/Loading screens take forever now

@ZOS_MollyH, I have submitted a ticket 150902-000771. I am on the NA server only. It happens everywhere I go, Craglorn, Stonefalls, The Rift, Auridon, Greenshade and trying to log into the server is a long loading screen every time since the update. Trying to enter quest related dungeons is almost impossible now. I always get a five minute loading screen or longer and the game will either kick me out or I drop through the world, get another loading screen and end up back outside of the dungeon. Once I am in the game if I hit "I" or "C" or anything menu related I get a loading screen, back in the game then another loading screen, back in the game and I can then access my menu.

I have logs running and my latency is fine. I am getting between 20ms and 25ms to the connections which is my normal speed.

Actually this same long load screen problem was on the PTS as well. I didn't bother reporting it because I thought that perhaps the PTS was on a server that didn't quite have the horsepower of the live server. I don't have quite the wait between zones that some of you are experiencing, but the load screens are definitely 2-3 times longer everywhere since the update was pushed. It is really wrecking the enjoyment of the game.
  • ZOS_MollyH
Hey folks, we are actively investigating the loading screens and hope to have a resolution soon.

In the meantime, please continue troubleshooting with an agent if you have submitted a support ticket. If you have not yet submitted one, please do so ASAP at https://help.elderscrollsonline.com

You must be new in town... they outsourced QA to PTS/Live players a long time ago.

Lol, I wish I could use that excuse but I've been playing since the beta and 'foolishly' hoped they would do at least some in-house testing and QA before release.

As mightybuttb16_ESO says, I've tried disabling all my addons but the problem remains the same in the IC.

I'm amazed some of you have waited 10+ minutes for these zones to load. After 3-4 minutes I start getting pretty pissed and end up closing the game. Most of the time I have to quit doing whatever I was attempting to do and move elsewhere just to come all the way back at a later time and try my luck. I have noticed that delves seem to have the largest issue with this, at least for me. Had several where I couldn't enter period. Several attempts and closing the game and trying to go in just to sit there. Ultimately closing the game for the day.

I almost never post here but this just pisses me off.

I took about 2 weeks off from this game then wanted to play, saw I needed to update, did so now the
game is Really SLOW and honestly unplayable now for me.

My Frame Rates drops below 20 often .

The load screens just sits there for 5 -10 minutes.

I AM NOT YOUR BETA TESTER ZeniMax. I DON'T PAY YOU $15 a Month for you to ask me
questions about why the game was Working 2 weeks ago then now it's not because of your patch.
Do you even Test in house anymore?

Maybe just Maybe YOU'RE patch is the problem not OUR computers because the game was working just
    Fine before this latest Patch.

And this is the 3rd time now that I can remember that I had to REDO my Whole Character because YOU reset
    the Stats.

    ZeniMax you really disappoint me.

This issue happens EVERY single time I try to load into a group dungeon, leading me to to have to restart the client. It seems the problem is getting worse since the patch, not better. Other load screens for overworld places take about 4-5 times longer than normal.

    Aggravating to say the least....

I've had this problem since before the DLC. It doesn't happen very often but as a player it's quite annoying. I have been playing ESO for a year now and all I can say is that Zenimax CAN'T really fix this mess. Everytime I look at the forum, there's always players with the same problem. It's even worst in steam forum. If this continue, the game will end up dead in one year. I don't think they care about this game anymore. All they care is to make as much money as they can to cover the costs. That's all I can say.

I got the longest loading screen when loading into the final quest area for the Imperial City - the quest line that involves Drake of Blades. I was not timing it but I think it was almost 10 minutes. For those that seem to never load, perhaps you need to wait just as long or even longer than I had to?

I'm having this issue this morning on the EU Live Megaserver. Loading screen for about 20-30 minutes then an error message. The last time something like this happened was following update 3. I was offline for a week before support finally sent me a resolution that had been found not by them, but actually by another player.

-It doesnt matter right now because in every server its same. Just try to interact with your players, customers more. You will see clearly.

-Well we dont need to try on other servers, its not our job. Second we players can talk with each other, also we read forums so yea basically in every server there are almost same issues.

    -What?

-Yes but when ever you send a bug report you get instant e-mail and its says something like "we are busy right now" so it doesnt matter also because there is no customer supports to support obviously.

    -All over the map.

    Good luck.

    Greetings all,

We understand how frustrating it is not to have a resolution provided. However, submitting a ticket helps us determine important information and determine overall how many players are experiencing this issue. Typical troubleshooting steps do tent to resolve known issues for the majority of players, and ensuring that you do attempt to try them and have failed in the resolution of your problem helps us ensure the engineers are informed that it is in fact a new issue and not a recurring problem that we have been previously aware of.

Long loading screens are currently known by our engineers as a new issue, and they are actively investigating a fix. By submitting a support ticket with the requested documents, we will be able to narrow down any commonalities between players experiencing this issue.

Thank you for your patients, and we do apologize for the delay.

CS did reply to my ticket and asked for another Consultants Report and the tracert and pingpath reports. They emailed me this morning stating it had been sent to the devs. I hope they sort this out. Having a loading screen hit in the middle of a boss fight is bad..really really bad. Not to mention all of the other loading screens, falling from the sky and either die or be almost dead and bad performance since the patch. My system can more than handle this game. It is a new water cooled system, 8 core CPU, 32 gigs of RAM, GTX980TI, latest video drivers, all system drivers current and the game is a fresh install on a new SSD drive that nothing else is on but ESO. Logging my latency yesterday and I was getting 8ms from my house to Dallas so I think we can rule out internet issues.

If you are relying on everyone submitting a ticket to "determine overall" how many people are having an issue then you FAIL.
It's no secret a lot of players don't use these forums. It's also no secret most players can't be bothered to submit a ticket every time ESO screws up. This is a PC GAME WIDE issue. While there are variances in degrees in which this affects players, make no mistake, it's everyone. So put this down on the list and have the "whatever crew" look into this issue and fix it.

If there is a file called "UserSettings.txt" do the below.
Open the file "UserSettings.txt" in Notepad, and delete all the content in it.
Copy and paste the text quoted at the bottom of this post.
    Save and close the file.

The text file change helped a lot. It did reset my license agreement, and made some LUA errors, but getting rid of FTC fixed that, as it was out of date then. Atropos update on Monday fixed that too.

    - Include a game consultant and MSinfo report (instructions are behind the spoiler tag below)
    - Did you submit a bug report while in game?
    - Where are you when this is happening in game?

Game Consultant captures technical information that can be vital to troubleshooting hardware issues and generates a report. It is a specialized diagnostic tool designed to identify issues that may affect the play experience in The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. Please attach a copy of the Game Consultant report to any technical support request.

Here is how to find and use it:
•Click on the golden cog icon in the top right corner of the game launcher.
•Under SETTINGS - LAUNCHER, select the ABOUT tab. This tab includes the current launcher version, minimum specifications, and information about Game Consultant.
•Click the Game Consultant button beneath the tool description.
•A new window will pop up. When it does, click Run Tests. This may take a few minutes.
•When the test is complete, a new window will pop up saying "Success The report saves itself as a text file called Report.txt in the My Documents folder.
•To retrieve the file, click the Open Report Location button on the Game Consultant window, or click Open Report to simply view it.

Check out ESO Help channel for a step-by-step video on how to use The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited Game Consultant - http://youtu.be/3fNqpZE_4rs

Game Consultant is also available for direct download at the following links (add the link in a browser and press Run): http://goo.gl/IqHMne

Please note that MSInfo is only a diagnostic tool that collects technical information on computers. It is usually needed by technical support agents to isolate specific issues. Here are the necessary steps to create an MSInfo:
    •Click Start, then Run
•Type msinfo32 in the Run box, and click OK
•While viewing the System Summary node, go to File and select Export
•Save the MSINFO32 report as msinfo32.txt on the desktop for easy access

Now that the report has been generated, it can be attached to help requests as needed. Please note that the file is very large, so it should not be copy/pasted into the contents of an e-mail.

How to run MSinfo32 on Windows Vista, 7, and 8.
    •Press Windows Key R
•Type msinfo32 in the Search box, and click OK
•While viewing the System Summary node, go to File and select Export
•Save the MSINFO32 report as msinfo32.txt on the desktop for easy access

Now that the report has been generated, it can be attached to help requests as needed. Please note that the file is very large, so it should not be copy/pasted into the contents of an e-mail.

    For Mac Customers:

Mac customers will need to generate a System Profiler report rather than an MSInfo file. To generate a System Profiler report, follow the instructions below:
    •Open a new Finder window
•Go to Applications, then Utilities and Terminal
    •Type the following
    system_profiler >~/Desktop/Report.txt

•Wait for the next line to appear in Terminal (This shows the file is finished)
•Locate the Report.txt on your Desktop

Mac players requesting help from Customer Support should send this information in their next e-mail to us so that we can better assist with any issues.

@ZOS_MollyH thank you for your attention to this thread. I've not submitted a ticket or bug report. If I did that, my evenings would consist solely of loading screens and bug reports, and I'd never get to actually play.

PC NA server. It's literally every loading screen since 2.1 released that takes 5+ minutes. No exaggeration, every single one. Rezoning, relogging, everything. Getting into group dungeons is sometimes 10+ minutes.

Leaving IC is the worst. When asked to do pledges now, I contemplate facing the newly buffed load screen boss 4 times: getting to base; leaving the base into Cyrodiil; porting into Wayrest to pick up pledge; porting into dungeon (via wayshrine since "travel to player" in dungeons is now broken). It's usually30 min of load screens between deciding to pledge and getting into the instance. That's a big chunk of my evening playtime. Not fun, not gg.

I had a guildie waste 25 minutes of his xp pot just on loading screens yesterday. Spent 5 minutes trying to zone into Fungal Grotto, task managered that away, relog, spend 3 minutes loading into Rivenspire again, then try to port to Fungal Grotto. Spent 5 minutes in a load screen before I task managered that away again. Spent 3 minutes logging back into Rivenspire again, then 3 minutes loading into Fungal Grotto which worked the third time. Multiply this wonderful experience by 4 group members.

Please fix this ASAP. Spending this much time on load screens is driving me crazy.

I wondered about this too since I'm getting 10 to 20 minutes load times between zones. is the load time counted as play time?

This would explain why my food buffs run out so "fast"..
For the ones who like to consume a bottle of fine Ambrosia, doing it after a loading screen would be the better option, I guess.

Judging by the reports on PTS, of people dying from zoning, which is why the created the purple invincible bubble in Imperial City, I would say, Yes, that time counts. Your char is in game, you just cant access them.
