So...are stamina sorcs dead now?

One of my lesser played alts is a Sorc Werewolf. I keep dorking around trying to figure out what to do with her. Then I was like, "Stamina Sorc! I need to find a build!" Then I heard Stam nerf was coming so I didn't do anything and just waited for the free respec. So...anysuggestions that DON'T include dropping werewolf and making her just another boring sorc?

    Read deltias stam sorc build, sure he had over 5k weapon damage or stam and was destroying every thing. Its deltias. Just google deltias gaming

    Stamina sorcs are perfectly fine in a large-enough zerg.

    Disabling the grass may improve performance.

    I'm thinking about "maining" my level 30ish NB in IC. Probably a bit easier than my sorc. lol

    What is dead can never die, but rises again harder and stronger.
    Just like the "how-about-helping-stam-sorc-this-patch-threads" that keep popping up every time an update comes on the PTS. Regarding stam (sorc) strenght I had quite some success solo/duoing inIC with my stam sorc, however most power of the build comes from the ever present uppercut, which is simply the best stamina spammable DPS skill from what I can tell.

    Werewolf(form) is quite strong however, and I/we were able to take out mediorce played opposition up to three times our number by rampaging with our high damage WW combo.

    Might want to check out Fengrush on Twitch @FENGRUSH also he has a Stam Sorc Orc and did before this patch, is a 13 some plus Emperor was running around with 7k tel var stone last night beating the crap out of people and he focuses on solo and small group pvp. Stam Sorc is alive and doing better than ever. WW is also doing much better with armor bonuses. Check him out.

    As mentioned above @Deltia also has a great up to date stam sorc I believe redguard and was doing some amazing damage with dual wield.

    Don't give up on your stam sorc learn to play it and it will do great. don't listen to the nay-sayers they probably don't even have a stam sorc lol.

    • Stamina Sorcs should be capable of stacking max stamina higher than most other classes.
    • Crit Surge should be more effective (and compound that with buffs to the theif and shadow stones)
    • passives that increased only spell damage should now apply to weapon damage as well.
    • roll dodge and streak can be alternated to essentially cut the cool-down penalties in half for each.

    That's not to say that stam sorcs will be perfect, but they're far from useless. Stacking max weapon damage with max stam and running a werewolf build could also be extremely effective.

    How do you even do a stamina sorcerer? I though sorcerers were all about magicka. If it's all about stamina, doesn't that make you something else that just uses magic?

    Yes - stam sorc isnt as painful as I thought it would be at the moment. Stam builds have taken a beating across the board, and the mixed punch we take in streak/roll nerfs can be felt. Nonetheless - FENGRUSH will adapt... come check the stream out and ask any questions.

    Will have more info on builds and playing stam sorc in general coming soon once I feel out more of the combat.

    Ever heard of a Battle Mage? Kind of what a Stam Sorc is. I thought stam sorcs where great before this patch but so many people complain about them they just keep getting better. If you haven't played one quit saying they suck and go play one.

    I'm trying to create a sorc hybrid atm. It feels like a huge mistake, but I see a lot of potential for a pure stamina build.

    That's good! I hadn't even thought of it in terms of a Battle Mage. I always thought of a Templar or a Dragon Knight magicka build as more of a Battle Mage, but you are right!

    Yup, leveling me a Storc based on deltia's build. So far VR1 and having a blast. We'll see what end game brings.

    Well I'm glad to know there's some hope for my stam sorc werewolf after all. I'll be vhecking out Deltia's build and FENGRUSH's video before I reallocate those points. Kinda looking forward to it now!

    So I'm curious - sincerely - about websites like Deltia's that feature builds:

    If the IC patch nerfed a lot of skills, how valid are those builds now?

    I don't understand it either. My character can do more Jumping Jacks so it should have the ability to cast spells that do more damage?

    Some of his builds, sure. But, they do make me think about different combos and synergies. So while I have never built a Deltia build in the game, I do use some of his rotations that he comes up with.
