Thank you for the post... but I have an easier time reading Slovoj Zizek's ongoing rants than I did reading the first paragraph of your post. Good game, you win.

Oh I love you! Someone who knows Zizek! (Are you a sociologist by chance?)

I can agree that there were several deterrents when I was contemplating buying this game as I actually played beta and had several reservations. That being said, the choice to play or not play is a personal one and not something anyone can decide for you. The game itself has several flaws but no game existing can be said to be flaw free. Be it a game mechanic or an actual bug.

The crown store is not a must use, use whatever mount you want and buy the upgrades as you want. It is not something that will make or break your gaming. (These are aspects of my point a view and may not apply to in any way)

The game supports many different playing styles and seems to fit my current gaming needs at this point in time. That can change as life itself is ever changing.

If you do decide to play, I wish you well in your travels and hope you find a nugget of fun in all the issues.

Writing is an art, using words is not.

When one is deliberately obtuse in their writings, that shows an unwilling to express their true message in their writings.

Which begs the question... is there, in fact a message to be had?

To express one'self in writing is the point, yes, but to have no message is just self indulgent swill.

I feel like this thread belongs in here.

To the OP; there are far better ways to get constructive feedback across besides a post full of pseudo-intellectual language. Some of your points are actually very valid, however they get drowned in a post that comes across as baiting.

The game's central concept of "PvP in PvP areas and be safe in safe areas" needs to stay the way it is.

There is at least one "good" reason why one may be deliberately obtuse in their writings. It's a form of humor. Whether that was OP's intent, who's to say?

    Posting as performance art.

I was going to say more, but since you were honest about your psych history, I will respect that. Still, if you can, you might want to try to communicate through your communication.

My years as a professional journalist introduced me to a number of people who wrote this way.
They were never professionals, they were the writers of submissions which lay in the editors' rejection piles, or sometimes when particularly tainted with faux intellectualism, such as in this case, they were pinned to noticeboards as a source of amusement.

If you have something to say, say it. Save this sort of thing for the local college's science club newsletter.

If you want people to engage with your ideas, engage with them.

Really we do it without like, the musical instruments. This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important.

I actually enjoyed this read; it reminded me of a game a friend and I used to play when we were much younger:

"Sound like an Oxford Professor with every Casual Comment you Make," so,

"Going to get a beer" would be,

"I shall presently vacate this reclining apparatus and mobilize my lower appendages, allowing for an alacritous ambulation to the well-provisioned pantry, henceforth procuring an adequately chilled, bottled portion of liquid refreshment, then subsequently retrace my previous movements with the express purpose of returning my significant posterior to its ideal, and preferred state."

This always got the response, "Get me one too?"

I couldn't dedicate much time to read the entire post but got the gist of it. I also became a bit curious after the mention of the thought process disorders and have been reading wikipedia since :D

It does explain the convoluted styling.
EDIT: Stilted speech, that's what it is... Just looks like it's a symptom.

Anyways, good points. ZOS hasn't always made the best decisions. I never really agreed to their decision to put the Imperial race behind a paywall. I only ever got it myself after they changed the pay methods so my subscription could let me afford it without paying any more out of pocket.

After pulling out my dictionary just to decipher the first paragraph, I realized, about 20 lines in that this text wall I simply didn't have the patience to read through.

Thank you for your post, and thank you so much for your verbosity. Your perspicacity will never be in question again, although your penchant for obsessive rumination is to be admired.

Thank you again. Now it's nap time. My head hurts.

PS: Can somebody summarize the OP please? I haven't the time nor interest but, figure, anyone who uses that many arcane, multi-syllabic and intellectual terms must have something important to say.

    Thanks much!
