I never activate the pinions, but that's because i'm never lacking resources nor i need the dmg buff... but when people tell me to not do it, i activate them as soon as they pop just to spite them.

Closing them does give you a 10% damage buff for all participants for 30 seconds plus refills your pools.

Can we please stop perpetuating myths and yelling at people at anchors now?
(sorry, misinformation is a personal peeve)
Thank you for finally clearing this up ZOS
Personally, I never said that it did. HOWEVER, you have more daedra spawns. Killing more daedra raises your FIGHTERS GUILD faction faster AND GIVES YOU XP, even VR14s. So, unless you are tier 10 FG and dont want XP/CP, you want to not put the anchor pinions down until they stop spawning.
Perhaps the last pinion, but the first three pinions don't seem to have any effect on spawning.

Now how about we also squash that "werewolves only come out on a full moon" myth while we are at it

It's been clarified by ZOS devs multiple times before (in writing!) and people still believe it... I'd like to think that them clarifying it this additional time might make a difference, but somehow I doubt it.ntheogenic wrote: »Ahhh.. finally this has been clarified.. This is very true. The part about looking for patterns is actually a vital evolutionary trait, without which we would never have survived as a species. It's how we, as a species, learned what things in our environment are safe and dangerous, as well as how we spot things that might be camouflaged predators lying in wait to attack us. It's the reason we see the man in the moon!ntheogenic wrote: »I think people come up with these things because the human brain has two fundamental properties:

If you're hurting for FG experience, just go to Coldharbour. Way more efficient to grind FG exp there than random 15 minute respawns of anchors. So there really is no reason to keep the pinions around.

"Travel to player" has worked for me on all my 8 characters, there is no level limit to Coldharbour.

That's the point of this thread. It's a myth (which many of us have known it's a myth, I remember when it got started).
The superstitious people can now be officially...desuperstitiousfied (yes, I made that word up )
Some folks in guilds get really upset if you close the pinions. I've been chastised for it at least once, with the thread of being kicked from the guild.

*shakes head* I think it's really bad to yell at strangers over something particularly after you've been proven wrong
