Ok this goes out to zos. We know it and im sure you know it. The new content needs more testing and tweaks. If you release this due to pressure from investors your going to loose a tone of players. Hold off and get it right, as it just not ready yet. If you agree with this please show your support. thanks Shashu DC.
I'm only saying this because i like eso and do not want it to fail also sypherpk needs to pay his rent. See bro got ya back lol show some hood people.

Sypher is a smart guy, he will excel at other games and have followers wherever.

The patch needs to hit PC asap so we can do some 'real' massive testing..... BUT THEN...

it needs a delay before hitting consoles... you lose the console base, the games starts going south.

This coming from a PC player that is used to beta testing ESO.

I agree, sadly we need a more extended testing, so a release on the live server.

Someone say that the first two week on the pts is for stability bug, and the first two week in live is for the real testing. I agree with that, because a real testing need real conditions, who are very difficult to reproduce in the pts.
After all, we are ESO's beta tester...

they could offer free subscriptions or free crowns to random or selected players to run beta tests on new patches. give notes on the changes so they can test them directly. along with allowing for those players to create test characters for the betas(chose level set stats and be able to change them or create other characters at any time any level, race, class and so on).

Should have given us the bug fixes months ago in hotfixes, then incremental adjustments to skills/sets for balancing in the monthly updates. Then sit on things and see how the meta developed as a guide for the direction of further changes. Throwing all those together at once in combination with a huge redesign of basic combat mechanics is only a recipe for creating huge imbalance. ZOS knows this but they don't care and will only continue doing things like this in future 6 month content updates as well - since they have to pay Sony and Microsoft for every patch on consoles.

That is incidentally why PC is getting the update a week before console - to give them time to incorporate any last minute "fixes" after we spend a week beta testing for console.

This... more bugs/exploits/OP sets etc will be found in the first week when this is live than have been thus far. Need around 3-4 weeks for ZOS to fix, then they can release it to the masses (aka consoles).

The draw back is the tester like us know to expect issues. But we all can agree that other people will rage to no end and leave because its not right. Even on test live it needs a lot of work still, i can understand that when its released they have some unknown issues when its under stress testing. But some of the abilities and armor sets are not up to par. Yes as long as it works they have a week or two to work out the armor sets before people get them. But some of the abilities still need some work also. I like the rest of you out their, need some new content and fast but not at the expense of loosing a tone of player base and being stuck pvping the same guys each and every night like its been of late. those who have just come back for the patch i would like to see stay.

After 1 month of PTS testing, I feel that this damn patch is now ready for launch. TTK is perfect as it is in 1.7.

All exploiters will have to learn to play. I know they're gonna have a hard time after all those monthes of bug abuse. And I'm gonna stomp their head heavily in IC's mud.

Delaying IC any longer on consoles would be the deathblow to the game there. Console players are already up in arms because PC is getting the patch Monday and they're having to wait.

Also lol@thinking streaming is a good source of income. It's only a good source if:

    -You have boobs.
-You're really good at a really popular game. ESO isn't big enough for this.

Ok, the haters seem to be getting this topic off track. Take the streamer debate to twitter or reddit where you might not get the topic closed.

I feel the content added has had some good testing, but I'm more concerned the content isn't going to deliver enough incentive to keep folks fighting. The tel var system is interesting, but there is little objective fighting and some of the fighting seems pointless if you just keep getting killed by 3 shot builds (which are still there), you face a zerg (which you don't see now since most are zerging on live), your faction wont with you (since you're leeching their stones), or you've got enough stones to buy what you want and leave. A variety of reasons, but I see Imperial City peaking and then declining after launch.

To improve this, please work on a capture system (something that is balanced for low pop and high pop), give more quests per district, and more challenges to face for large groups. Might be a little late at this point I know, but get a solid place in now so when that decline hits you can hopefully revitalize the city.

I thought it was because consoles had internal certification requirements before rolling out patches which usually took around a week.

Lol Sypherpk needs to get a real f'ing job.

Dad? What are you doing on the forums.

I'm 50 years old and have a son near Sypher's age.

Sypher, you chase your dream. College can wait.

I'm telling my son that exact same thing right now. So many kids rush off thinking they HAVE to go to college and a lot of poor choices are made. Education is important but college has become a punch ticket credential and place to send 18-22 year olds for poorly supervised baby sitting.

You have a real talent at what you are doing with your stream on twitch. Sure you have lewt PvP skills but that's not really what is so entertaining. Your personality, commentary, and pleasant interaction with your followers is a joy to watch. In short you have some real charisma. I could see you parleying this into a PR job for a game company down the road.

But do keep in mind that a undergrad degree or even an associates degree would be a big help when you go looking for a formal job. You might want to just take some classes online or part time right now and make some progress towards that goal. If you ask Gina or Jessica or some of the other ZoS employees you will probably find out that they have some type of college degree. It's a ticket you sometimes just have to punch.

Who is Sypher anyway, and why is OP blaming his ability to pay rent on the state of this patch? Thats absurd. If you can't pay your rent, you need a real job.

Now, can we talk about the game?

The only way college is worth it is if it is free although since someone is always paying for it somewhere free is relative.

Sweet merciful tap-dancing Cheezus Sliced, ppl took this topic to *** timbuktu.

No of course the patch isn't 'ready'. I'd like it if it could be, but it's way too massive an undertaking, and ZOS is way too understaffed to give everything the Barney Fife treatment. People have been screaming for new content for months, and now that its nearly here they're screaming just as loud that they don't want it. ZOS is in a 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' position. Maybe if players hadn't taken such a knee-jerk reaction to various things (like provisioning recipes...) and quit in droves things would've popped out sooner. I also place alot of blame on corporate interference with too many executives who don't know *** about game development sticking their fingers into the pie when it's not even finished baking yet. This is something that's been happening too often in the industrylately, and sadly its a sign of the times.

As many disappointments as I've been subjected to and as many friends on my buddy list I've had gone dark for several months, nothing so far is a dealbreaker for me, but I'm the rare sort of person who knows how to be content with content. I wish ESO had attracted more methodical players, but too much of the instant gratification crowd flooded in, and I worry that will dilute the original spirit of the game.

I've seen people scream so loudly at the devs that they don't know their own game, but they do, and they enjoy it. I sure as hell do, and the only reason I can't play it as much is because life happens, but at least the time I do have to play I can usually do something productive instead of garrison missions or some BS time sink.

The patch has had over a month of testing. it's as ready as it'll ever get for launch, and people scream about problems so much they forget that there are people working at programming this game, and they do work hard. If they put in any less effort ESO wouldn't be as good as it is now. Speaking as someone who's worked in retail for going on 12 years I've seen every side of every coin. For every whiner and implacable cow you run into there's a herd more content to munch on what you offer because it tastes good. I hope more people can appreciate ESO for what it offers and take things as they come. I have lots of good people on my buddy list who love to talk about how much fun they have, but I have just as many that vow they quit because of x class or x ability, or x provisioning recipe won't drop at lvl 1 when you haven't even played the *** tutorial.

As long as the patch more or less works in that there's no continent-spanning outages or glitches showing you as a werewolf riding inside a guar, it'll work for you as long as you LET it.

anyone every think that the battle buff nerf was done as a plug fix for when they actually balance out the classes. It's easier to go in and simply adjust the battle buff later in the code if they get all the other stuff fixed. Also did anyone notice how many issue were hiding in the simply adjustment of that buff. Makes me wonder if those things were bugged a long time ago and no one ever knew about it. I'm just saying today its this tomorrow we have no idea what they might do.

    History will inevitably repeat itself.

Ready or not the DLC will hit with all the little extras ZOS introduces in each major patch.
These will only have had minimal testing in house, none on PTS.

For two weeks there will be crashes, numerous bugs, and fresh exploits.
Oh, don't forget crippling lag and connection issues.

I'm looking forward to IC immensely, but I believe realistic in my expectations.

I dont think theres been a single patch that was "ready". 1.7 will be a sh*t fest first weeks. Its going to be miserable to watch the large 24 man groups clash in the districts only to instant respawn and go at it again... lol.
