Ok...this has been said at least 1000 times over the ages, but a six year old has no business being online in an M rated game. Mainly because we all know what kind of moronic filth comes out of teenagers on these console networks. Letting your kid run around a verbal dodgeball arena yields predictable results. (Age matters.)The mods are coming down with the hammer. I got my slap yesterday but I had it coming. Their house, their rules. I came in and put my feet up on the couch so a slap upside the head is warranted heh.
But you think this is bad?
On PS4 area chat in Daggerfall there was an obviously young kid (said he was 6) squeeking on the mic and a good 4 or 5 young males (their voices sound like the pimply face kid from the Simpsons) cursing him out, cursing out his mom, and saying things that would get you incarcerated in real life. I mean if an 18 yo was outside cursing out a 6 yo child the police would lock him up (and probably beat the living crap out of him for "resisting").
That's online gaming in 2015 for you.
Just click on their username. That takes you to their profile, where you find a button in the top right corner that will hide their comments. Do we really need to resort to schoolyard language? I sometimes wonder at the abhorrent lack of respect between people talking about a game.
Is there actually an ignore feature? there was one person i was looking to ignore, but couldn't work out how, i wonder if i get a "well done for being an adult and ignoring someone you think is an irritating troll instead of rising to the bait" badge
I realise people will get passionate about ESO... And I should also point out I don't really expect anything but ridicule for saying this so fire away...

What do you guys think? I am not saying nerf the forums , I just wonder if anyone else has noticed how widespread this is and how do you guys feel about it being acceptable to call another poster a crybaby because they have a concern about something. I'm just saying maybe we can do better.

That doesn't excuse the teens' behavior, however. Bullying should not be tolerated.

You just have to let it roll off your back and not stoop to that level.

I hear ya man. Though...such is the way of forums. Sometimes its just good to either stay away or keep in mind that someone experienced something really frustrating, and they're just venting.
Take it with a grain of salt.

Of course you are right, and name calling is pointless. But ZOS certainly isn't helping at all to hold the community together by forcing PVE players to be bait for CP grinding PVP players just to upgrade gear.

Come work in Global Sales for a few weeks and see how you handle real life insults.
Come into my IT department. The Sys Admin will have choice words if you don't know exactly why you're there and will berate quite loudly (volume varies with system status) if you ask a stupid question. (Followed by "There's a reason we have the help desk, (insert insult here))
Thick skin is a good solution. Not caring is even better.

Try the Destiny forums a million times worse. You guys here are mostly respectful, over there no matter what you say some *** comes along with a smartass comment for the express purpose of being a ***.

I wonder if the 3 people that agreed with this comment are people who dislike the use of the terms in the original post. It's ok if they label other people, but it's not ok when other people label them. I believe there is a word or two for that...
