Leveling a NB

I'm using a bow as primary weapon to deal poison damage from range and can't decide between 2H or DW for PvE leveling. From a role-playing perspective, it makes sense to dual wield, but from a damage/healing perspective (with rally), the 2H makes sense. Currently my 2H skill is sitting at level 26 and DW is sitting at 22. I can't seem to decide which one I want to use. My thought is to use the 2H for group events fill the role of DPS with selfhealing ability and the DW for solo leveling, does this seem like it makes any sense? Or should I be sticking with one for all content? I am planning on doing some PvP, but not a lot. Thanks.

Level both. Put one skill of each line on your skill bar, irrespective of what you are using at that time. It will level up the line as well, albeit very slow. That way, you can test constantly and later on decide which one you will stick to.

And you can always respec your skillpoints in the one or the other if you made your choice later on.

Use DW for group content. Since you will most likely have a healer anyways. Use 2H for solo leveling and for the love of god grab Strife from siphoning tree! You will thank me later lol

This is more towards the gameplay experience in PvE, but if you're playing NB because you like the "sneak up and insta-murderate someone" style of play, then Hide (i.e. crouch) + Uppercut/Wrecking Blow is a thing of beauty.

It's a stronger opener than Hide + Surprise Attack/Concealed Attack in terms of raw damage, to the point where you'll pretty much 1 shot any normal mobs you run up against. Example: I was tooling around in Malabal Tor as my level 35 NB and was 1 shotting the Giant Snake enemies and the grabber-vine-thing mobs there. Definitely had the "sneaky assassin" feel to it.

I will definitely try this later and see how it goes. I like the feel and the raw damage the 2H does, but it just doesn't seem right with the stereotypical rogue.

2h cleave spawm (with brawler morph) will allow you to AoE infinite enemies. Even against 2 or 3 enemies, you won't be able to be killed.

Using Stee Tornado with a dual wield setup is great for AoEing if you're in a group. Use brawler spam if solo.

Single target DW is great damage too. Ambush, surprise attack, light attack, impale/surprise attack will kill most normal NPCs.

Brawler is awesome because the more enemies you hit the better the shield. Coupled with sap essence, veil of blades or soul tether, you can basically kill mass mobs continuously.
