Does the 15% reduced damage done from Minor Maim (Deep Slash, Dizzying Swing, etc) work on CC immune bosses like in dungeons?

✭✭✭When I tested my dmg mitigation as tank I used a Storm Atro to do it and they are CC immune but the 15% dmg reduction from Deep Slash was still applied and it works on bosses as well. Its just like with DK's Talons it does dmg and minor maim on targets that can not be rooted.1

✭One of the things that really irks me about this game is it's binary nature of some of these effects, like Maim. Either it works or it doesn't. It's why some powers are fairly useless in PvE, like Incapacitating Strike. Anything that has more health than you is likely immune to the stun.
I really wish there was a more sliding scale, and that you could stack some of these effects to be able to see some effects if you used a couple of powers close together.0 -

Yeah but all skills that apply Minor Maim, also apply debuffs that the boss is immune to (snare/stun/knockback), giving you that message anyway, so you can't tell if the boss is really immune to Minor Maim that way.Edited by Zsymon on August 24, 2015 12:24PM3 -

This is correct. I believe some bosses can be affected by Minor Maim, but resist other effects that come on the ability's, namely CC. The game doesn't give enough info which things are resisted and which aren't, so it's hard to tell, but I'm pretty sure at least some main dungeon bosses can have their damage reduced.Gore-of-the-Forest Argonian Nightblade
