Fresh Install Help

I have a new system I will be putting online this week. I am going to download the game again and have a fresh install on the new system. (If it takes days I may cry). Once I have the game installed and my settings back as they should be I would like to have a backup so I don't have to download everything again.

Can I copy the entire game off somewhere to use as a backup? If so and I need to "reinstall" the game again what would I need to do? Will I need to uninstall the existing game, copy the files back to their proper location, fire up the launcher, verify files and move forward or is there anything else I need to do?

Thanks!!

This game is very simple to copy/clone, it doesn't require any 'installation' as such to copy it to another PC to play, I do that with three PCs.

Copy the game's tree to anywhere you like and you can run it from there, on the same PC or another.

In the "My Documents" folder you'll find an "Elder Scrolls Online" tree which you may want to copy as a basis to set up on a second PC (it's where your settings and other options are stored).

There are no registry setting for the game at all as far as I can see, certainly none you need to preserve.

    So, to sum up:

    1) Copy your game tree somewhere
    2) Create a shortcut to the game in its new location (the launcher and ESO.EXE if you run the game directly to avoid the dreaded 209 error)
    3) If copying to a second PC copy the Documents tree if you don't want to set up options from scratch
    4) Run the game in its new location.

    Have fun.

Thanks! Yeah I didn't see any registry info that I needed but I wanted to double check before I get the new PC going. :) Looking forward to SLI, 32 Gigs of RAM and my 8 core CPU. :)
