Heavy armor changes?

I've seen it mentioned in a couple threads that there is some changes to heavy armor passives but I'm not seeing it in the patch notes. Is this something that just hasn't been implemented yet and if so what are the changes?

I guess, people were talking about a bug that was resulting in heavy armor being pointless.
Sharpened maces would ignore all armor. This has been solved, which makes heavy armor usefull now against physical damage as well.

Did the manage to get that added to current PTS build? I know it's on developer build as they said so before; current PTS has this bug fix or it's next PTS build?

Yea no even with the sharpen fix HA is still usless cause it's passives are garbage and it's armor and spell pen is litteraly cut in half by players with 50% penetration and they only form of actual good defense it provides is reduce block cost that's it cause the boost to health and recovery is just so low cause players can easily out DPS any heals HA my provide and to top it all off the defense HA provides is on the same level as the defense LA and HA provides such as shields and rolling cause even after there "nerfs" shields still alow LA players to take on 3 different guys at once and still murder them compaired to HA the HA guy be dead in less than 15 seconds cause armor and spell res is just garbage compaired to shields cause they aren't effected by penetration.

So HA defense of armor and spell res is usless in pvp compairded to shields and rolling and HA doesn't offer any offensive bonuses unlike LA and MA which is why many my self included say if HA is meant for defense then make it good for defense.

Heavy armor reduces survivability, because the only thing you're getting in return for sacrificing all your resources, is a measly few percentages of mitigation.

This fix was in the patch notes for 2.1.1
    FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS, BASE-GAME PATCH

    Combat & Gameplay
    General
    • Fixed an issue which was causing the Sharpened weapon trait, as well as the Champion passives Piercing and Spell Erosion, to act multiplicatively instead of additively when combined with other penetration effects.

Hopefully someone that's testing on the PTS can confirm this is working correctly now.

Now I'm confused lol. So, is the general consensus HA isn't worth the minor bump in mitigation? I currently run a med armor stam DK but with the upcoming nerf to mobility I'm trying to decide which direction to take the build.

I did some pvp in full offensive plate yersterday on PTS (5 Ravager + 5 hunding's), I had a blast.

With the fix to penetration, I was able to fight 2-3 enemies at once without getting 2-shoted (withtout blocking I mean).

Those who setup their build to exploit this are finally going to get more than they bargained for. No more 1-2 shots....

Now getting hit from 5 different people is a whole different ball game....DOH!

Do you guys think it's still pointless to run something like 5light/2heavy? It's what I run in my PvE solo build, but I worry the penetration will still out-do this limited amount of armor, even using chest/shoulder slots for heavy...

You should be fine with that setup. If you need more armor, swap out the shoulders for heavy legs.

As someone who has used heavy armor since beta (and still uses it), Heavy armor passives suck.

We need 1.5 heavy armor passives back. CC break reduction, higher resource regens. Bring those passives back!

    Definitely CC break @ 5pc.

I'd like to see the bonus armor per piece changed to flat % mitigation. Even if it's only say 2-3% per piece that would be a nice boon for PvP that also wouldn't get shredded by pen.

I normally don't let looks get in the way of numbers, but damn if Daedric light armor + Bosmer heavy shoulders/chest don't look badass together.
