Dungeons that exist, yet have had little to no attention.

Dungeons and raids (trials) are at the heart of every MMO experience, and although ZOS has placed many dungeons within the game, yet half of the dungeons are not played. This is due to excluding them from end-game content such as Undaunted Pledges, etc. In my own opinion, along with the release of the IC and its 2 new dungeons, WHICH INCLUDE VET MODES, they should also release vet modes / rewarding content to the 8 dungeons that end-game players completely ignore. I have played since the release on console, and went straight through the levels to reach end-game, though find it hard to believe that HALF of the dungeons are excluded. Those of which I have never even experienced.

Everyone interested in dungeons plays each of them at least once for the skill point, XP and achievement. I tend to do each tier as soon as I'm at level, but they all scale up even without vet mode, so nothing's stopping you from enjoying them in vet ranks for the first time. That said, normal mode dungeons are usually pretty easy, so it would be nice if they all received a more challenging vet mode. Still, if I had to choose between a brand new dungeon and revisiting an old one, I'll take a new story any day.

My point to it is that the completely exclude them from being looked at at end-game level. They could add a plethora of new content to the game jut by enhancing what already exists in the base game by, lets say creating vet modes and adding new monster sets, etc. to the dungeons and include them in the undaunted pledges.

The problem with updating old content to add new rewards is that everyone already knows those fights and there is luittle challenge anymore. When I first started Vet COH for example, it was really difficult and very hard to PUG. Now most pugs 1 shot all the bosses and have very little deaths. Its just the nature of the game. New content with new challenges is where its at.

That being said, I would love some dungeons that don't have vet versions to get then. Vault of Madness is my favorite but Im sad there's no vet version of it.
I'm kind of a small deal!

There was no Vet Crypt of Hearts or Vet City of Ash when the game launched. Those were added as free updates (well, it was subscription required back then, so not really "free"). The original plan was to add Veteran version of all the dungeons, one by one, as part of the Every-6-Weeks updates included in subscription. But they only got CoH and CoA completed before that plan obviously went out of the window with B2P and console release.

I am not sure what happens to Arx through Vaults at this point. Getting people to pay for DLC is a lot different than the small, frequent updates of the subscription plan. I don't see people waiting 3 or 4 months between updates, then paying for DLC that is just the same dungeon with a different story and different bosses. I think the way IC has been handled, a couple of brand new dungeons with both normal and veteran modes, will be the way it is handled in the B2P+DLC era.

Basically, the normal dungeons are too easy to feature good rewards. Without good rewards, no one wants to run them at endgame. Adding new bosses and tougher mechanics, to justify better rewards, requires time and money and resources. Time and money and resources they would probably prefer to put toward developing brand new content, which is more likely to sell as DLC than jazzed up old content.

I agree. The group I play with talk about this all the time. We really enjoy playing these dungeons, farming gear, and in general playing through tough mechanics. With that said we have beat everything on the board and really would like if they went through and made all the old dungeons that are missing veteran mode and added in the extra difficulty with new and exciting challenges/loot. It would be a nice way to add diversity to the gear available, and builds as well.

With the latest change to make Monster shoulders drop from Silver keys in the next update I have seen a huge increase in people doing the silver pledges on NA PC. And all of the non vet dungeons are in the Silver pledge rotation so as of now I think ppl are gonna be running the old content a bit more.
