Mage Tree - Thaumaturge or Elemental Expert?

I read a thread before that said that Elemental Expert actually increases damage for ALL types instead of just the 3, fire/lightning/ice.

Is this true? bugged? fixed?

Should I just invest my points into Thaumaturge instead of Elemental Expert?

Thaumaturge is only for MAgic/Disease/poison damage. Only for those types.

Elemental expert is Fire/frost/shock.

A lot of Sorc abilities deal Magic based damage, so Thaumaturge is better for increasing that damage.
Just look at your ability tooltips, they say what type of damage they do and invest your champion points accordingly.

I think the OP is referring to player testing which revealed the champion constellations he's talking about were not working as described. As far as I know, though, the issues with the constellations are fixed on the Pts and the effects will actually match the descriptions next patch

In one of the more recent ESO lives, they mentioned issues with the champion points not working as the description said, and Mr. Wrobel essentially said it would all be fixed in the next major content update (aka the end of this month). I haven't checked to see if it's fixed on the PTS or not, but I'm sure someone somewhere has...

Deltia has a 100 points in thaum on his umbra build so i dout it bugged

It's very outdated information, as this breakout was changed about six months ago so Elemental Expert became basically all magicka abilities and Thaumaturge was changed to boost DoTs. (Stamina has their own star for poison/disease/physical).
