They are transparent in a lot of ways. If they haven't told us yet it is likely because they are still sorting it out. The PTS patch will come whenever they push it out, making a thread like this likely won't achieve anything.

Hey, folks! We've mentioned it elsewhere on the forums, we're aiming to push the patch before the end of this week. We'll be sure to post to let y'all know if that changes or when we have a definite date. Definitely keep an eye on the Dev Tracker for the latest news.

This actually really worries me... the time frame seems to be slimming down real fast before launch... the 31st?
You guys gave us 3 whole weeks to test the first iteration of your new Exp. .. 2 Weeks too long in my opinion. We gave you most of our feedback within the first week of our testing and that to me is enough time to make changes and get your booty moving and test the new updated versions before launch. Yes i know you have to make changes from our feedback and that takes time but now we are 2 and a half weeks from the Exp Launch...

Do you really think that's enough time to test the new PTS update? What if all of those changes or a lot of them are still bugged... I am very afraid of the release now just due to the fact that it took you guys 3 weeks to push out a new Test patch.

Like i said what if this new patch has a bunch of issues..? 2 weeks before launch.... say you let us test it for the next 2 weeks, you will have 4-5 days to possibly push a last Test patch before the 31st..

So this seems to be the last patch before it launches when we had so many other things to try and change and test out, just seems a like so much time wasted.. why??? putting all your eggs in one basket has never been a good thing.

This all seems super rushed to me with all the bugs and exploits on the test server

Ah yes, clearly you have a better understanding of the software development cycle than they do.
You do realize they have internal testers too, yes? The point of PTS is to cast a wide net to catch the bugs, fixes can be tested internally.

If they have internal testers... Why are there so many exploits / bugs on the PTS?

What were those "internal" testers really doing before we got the first PTS patch?

they dont know how to fix some bugs, no matters how many testers are testing, no matter how long you wait.
so, there will be many exploit/ bugs on live server too, is inevitable, just use them to your advantage like everybody else.
in the end they can call "intended" anyway, and it will be the new meta (like nirnhoned was)

they really dont like to give us release dates, u know. they do not like to compromise.
let's just hope they do not delay

I completely agree with you. I would think that they would need to make changes weekly especially because they completely changed the game play in a few ways, and there are a few things that need some fine tuning. And yeah they have internal testers but nothing beats having the players test it, hence the existence of the PTS. No one even plays the PTS anymore after the first week. I can only think that ZOS just doesn't have the funding to properly tune eso in a way that will lead a well polished game.

Just to give you folks an update, we'll be pushing the next PTS patch tomorrow! With it, we'll be copying over the EU characters, but don't worry, NA folks. You'll have some sweet templates to make high-level characters with.

Because internal testing is on a much smaller scale.
They test changes as they are made most likely, and players test the system as a whole, which will always result in unintended complications arising.

When you report something it may be that a hotfix is developed within a few hours or days, and that is then passed to QA to test. Testing standards must be developed and tests are often repeated many times over to test specific criteria.

Just because you feel it should be enough time doesn't make it so. Assuming that they're just sitting on their hands just makes you look stupid.
