Finding dwemer scraps

Hello guys,
So I've bought a dwemer motif for making dwemer swords. (Best looking sword imo)
But i've searched them in the guild stored and prices range at 10k which I think is a bit much.
I remember a dwemer ruin at Alikir desert, but i'm vet3, does the mobs there drop loot ?
If not does anyone know some good farming location for veteran ?

I'm sorry, bit unclear.. I mean the dwemer style materials; dwemer scraps in orde to refine.

For a Covenant Veteran? I think the first place you can farm scrap is going to be the armature in Stonefalls... which is actually a fairly terrible place to go for scrap, or the ruins in Deshaan. Which are better, but that's going to be Vet 7 for you.

Well, at your level, the mobs won't drop anything for you. However, searching through the urns and jars may turn something up. Also, you could try making an alt to farm the ruins for what you need.

Yes I play DC, sorry I didn't mentioned that ..
Too bad I only have one main character, i've got one alt but only at level 10 in AD.
So i'll just have a look in all the pots and urns then.
Argh and knowing i've sold bunch of that scrap not knowing what is was.

in craglorn there is a dwemer ruin. Its to the right of spellscar. Maybe try there. Lots of mobs and they will all drop for you.

Best place to farm the motifs is Avanchnzel in Riften, and I usually get a fair deal of scraps too from the containers and some mobs. However there are better dungeons to farm scraps, but I don't know where....

i've found this list of all dwemer ruins ..
It's sucks that my current veteran zone, which is AD hasn't got one.
So i'll try at craglorn now, i've been to craglorn only once, I thought it was it bit difficult to go alone.

Apart from mob drops, I usually find a bit of scraps when searching Dwemer urns. A tip: I loot the urns as a routine if/when I go to Coldharbour (there's a house with quite a few urns both outside and inside).

Friends are pretty generous. I gave my friend a couple thousand gold and a few motifs as I had xfered from PC to console. I've made it all back now but I'd just assume they trade a lot as voice chat can easily net you fast trades especially when the mail COD works properly

In both the desert areas in the Daggerfall faction there are tons of Dwemer things to kill and places to farm in.Ruins that will give you tons of stuff.

I found centurians(if I named them wrong, its the big mobs) had some on them. Now and then a spider had one. Urns too are a must!

As far as the overleveling mechanics care, VR14 is still level 50. Yeah, you got 14 veteran ranks, but you still haven't hit level 51. Go grind a level 30 zone, and tell me how much scrap you manage to find.

No, XP cuts off if you're more than five levels above your target. Just like drops, and gear deterioration. The only thing you can pull off underlevel enemies are level appropriate leather scraps.

But, again, once you hit VR1, you're level 50 forever. So you can always get XP and drops off enemies in Cold Harbour.

There's a good one with a lot of pots in stonefalls which you can get to at rank 4 easily. Just do all the quest on cadwell's almanac. There's one in deshaan which is the next are. Not gone anywhere else, but I imagine there's one or two in the rift and eastmarch.

For now, run razak's wheel in Bankorai. You won't get xp or loot off enemies, but there's tons of pots to look in. When I ran that I'd leave with at least 5 scraps everytime and a Dwemer motif every other go roughly.

There's a gateway for the Fighter's Guild Ruin in Eastmarch, but otherwise nothing doing. There is a dwemer delve in The Rift, however.

thats what i meant. In VR ranks, the level gap means less exp. But not for drops i guess. ZOS logic

I did run razak's wheel, got 2 scraps .. such a teadious effort for finding those 10 scraps.
And to know I was thinking of making full dwemer armor, that's not gonna happen
I think it's fair to say dwemer style material is the most rare in the game, and so most expensive.

But when I finish Cadwell silver, It will probably get easier in EP.
Craglorn wasn't an option, 10 V10 mobs coming at me, LOL.

No, VRs are all level 50. Higher VR enemies are worth more XP, but that's just a raw value attached to that enemy; it's not related to the player's level.

Scraps are a rare drop but you can get them at any level - I can go to The Rift (as EP) and run Avanchnzel and pick up scrap, but I don't get any XP from the mobs.

By the way, swings and roundabouts... while AD don't get any low level dwemer ruins, they do get them in Cadwell's silver and gold, and Avanchnzel is VR10. EP get ruins in low level zones, but none in Cadwell's gold. I'd much prefer to grind mobs at the same time as harvesting dwemer scraps and motifs...

You sure about that? I remember from testing the armature that the only ultra low level scrap I could get came out of containers, and not off defeated mobs.
