Argonian Feedback + Suggestions

I think the devs believe that a high healing received bonus is equivalent to a max stat bonus...
However if we look at set bonuses you can get +4% healing received as a 3 or 4 piece set bonus. To put that into context, that is assuming a 5% max stat (because we now have 9% for our racial, so 4% is about half of a racial) is worth about 800 stat, so a stat of about 16k... which is roughly half of most stat builds. So in reality healing received is about 1/2 as useful as a max stat based on itemisation. Of course if our healing received were to be doubled then everyone would shout about how op argonians were. But it does demonstrate that by their own itemisation our racial is not equal to a max stat racial.

It should also be noted that a potion passive, swim speed passive and poison/disease resistance are all situational. So they are inherently less useful than either a resource regen or a max stat passive which are always effective.

Thus just tweaking with the existing passives a little is never going to bring Argonian passives to the fabled good place. They need a proper overhaul, esp. in the light of the uncapped, champion system meta. Personally I would dump the potion passive and replace it with a dual max stat for magicka and stamina of 6%, but that is just me. If zos want to keep a potion passive maybe make it properly worthwhile such as giving 20% resource regeneration or 6% max stats... something that makes us want to buy up cheapass pots and chug them on cool down. Something that makes us want to get cost reduction jewellery in order to keep the passive effect going forever. Something that makes us thing that the cost and effort of every Argonian being an alchemical junkie is worth it. Unfortunately that is not what we currently have.

To be honest, all I want is for them to improve argonians so they ar eon par with the other classes, their racial passives are literally the worst that I have come across in my own personal playing, which sucks, considering I like Argonians very much.

I liked OPs suggestions, but even if they took it in another directtion, I just don't care, so long as they give argonians something useful rather than a tiny increase to what is essentially a collection of terrible passives.

Passives aside, beast races are not the most popular imho, because well they are beastly looking with tails wagging. Looks are important to many players and when it comes to race selection the more awesome looking ones win, or the outlooks we are more familiar with (human-like outlooks).

With racials passives it can be further incentivised for people to pick less popular races. Lets say if we give something stronger to an Argonian I cant see that despite the passive it will become the most popular choice because of the well, outlooks.

Have a look at stat surveys: khajit, argonians and orcs are among the least popular races. And despite Nords considered to have low tier passives they are still popular. (I mean, boys dream to play a huge & strong macho man, become a bit like that, no? Joke aside, there are a lot of character archetypes in culture, that makes races like Nords popular. Vikings, barbarians etc. But Khajit? Or lizard-people?)

    1. So how about the link?
    2. The majority of players doesn't care about racials. Don't believe me? Think of WoW - most Horde players are BE and Undead which have useless passives in PvE, but hey BE look cute. Same with NE. Humans and undead actually have good pvp passives but just like everywhere, majority of players doesn't do Arena or that much pvp at all... http://www.statista.com/statistics/276315/distribution-of-world-of-warcraft-characters-by-race/
Players care about looks more and tbh it is still would be nice to change things once in a while without losing all your progress.

I really dont get it - some big head honcho at Z must hate Argonians with a passion and is actively trying to destroy that race from the start.
There is no other explanation as to why Argonians always get the short straw since day one...

Haha, maybe that's the point, to get the feeling what its like to be an oppressed race. Much roleplay, so exciting! Argonians unite!

If this is true (which I do not doubt ), then you would THINK, they would give the best racials the the least popular to bolster that population a bit.

I personally love Beast races! I'm already a freakin' human so why the hell would i want to play......myself (and some pointy ears don't really count imho)
