This is why most games have Cooldown on abilities, to avoid spamming. if you put something like 3 seg CD on puncturing sweep and 5 seg to radiant opression, another dps rotation will appear...

He isnt saying nurf templars, he's saying put in global cooldowns on all skills, this includes whip, streak, mass hysteria, etc.

Well more close combat skills better open up for temps in that case. I only this in puncture when I run out of magic from spamming heals and sweeps, a heavy to regen some stam. Temps are very limited in close combat, but can be very effective. DKs and kbs have a lot more options than temps, considering temps have 1 skill line of nothing but heals, and 1 skill line of nothing but range attacks. The only close combat bar is the spears. You get sweeps....close combat, throw the spear at dudes.......ranged attack, throw it up in the air......ranged, blazing shield.....a damage absorbition shield attack close combat but not really an attack, and can't remember the other.
Temps are far too limited to say have a cool down on their ONLY true close combat attack

It really depends on your play style. Every class can be played the "same" but not as effectively. DK's can do real dmg when in close combat, as opposed to ranged dmg. So, reading new patch notes... Templars got some pretty amazing buffs to the class. I'm excited to see the dps I can do now.

I like fighting from the front, not standing in the background. That's the way I like to play, messing with sweeps will force all temps to hang out in the back
