Prismatic Enchantments

This new enchantment will grant all three Stamina, Magicka, and Health for that armor piece and is designed with hybrid builds in mind.

This is a most welcomed addition to the game!

I'll be honest, my first thought was more enchantments like the Prismatic weapons. Then he said, "for hybrid builds." And, you know, I like that, I want that... but I was a lot more excited a couple seconds earlier.

It's impossible to say without knowing the details. If you can net higher overall stats with this, then yeah, it will be worth doing. But if it's just splitting the enchantment 50/50 or whatever, then it's not that great.

It allows for a more even split. Right now we have what, 3 high range, 3 mid range, and 2 low range pieces of armor when it comes to the amounts from enchantments. So if you do use multiple different enchantments for health, stamina and magicka, well now you can get an even amount across all 3 stats.

I watched the stream and this went way, way over my head.

I have no idea what Prismatic Enchantments are; could we please get it added to the original post to help people with terrible memory such as myself?

Thanks for clearing that up for us Savetti.

I am guessing it will be like Purple food, you get less of each compared to Green food but more overall when you combine teh 3 stats. So it would help hybrid builds if it works that way.

If it does work that way id like there to be enchanments for 2 stats like the Blue food.... as i would rather have more of 2 stats.

Oh man, if that's the way it works I'd be very happy. I'd also have to respec my attributes, but I'm OK with that trade-off.

This actually will be interesting. It will now technically be possible to put together an extremely viable hybrid build. With regard to PvP, this could be huge for Templar if you could put together a decent stam build that can also breath of life and blazing shield decently.

Looks good, I imagine that the values will be less than a standard glyph though. So you get a bit of everything or a lot of one thing?

They may be, not sure. I'm hoping that it isn't a lot lower. I think it would be good to have a more powerful type of glyph.

But with removal of soft caps and champion system multipliers effecting your most crucial attribute pool, do competitive hybrid builds still exist? I REALLY hope this is the direction the game is going. I miss hybrids and build diversity! Anything that gives incentive for these types of builds is great in my book!

I don't think this will be all that different than just splitting enchantments up as it is. So you'll have three prismatic enchants on three pieces instead of one magicka, one stamina and one health on those three.

Until we find out the implementation is totally effed up then we'll call them "pissmatic".

I'm 99.9% sure this will not affect Enchanters one bit, just like the Master weapon enchantments.

Enchanting keeps on sucking, and meanwhile, they add new enchantments as loot to make the profession even more useless.

What on earth are you talking about? Enchanting is seriously one of the only useful professions in this game. The amount of money you can make of this craft is well beyond that of any other in this game.

How does adding a new enchantment not affect enchanters?

I would say provisioning and alchemy are more useful than enchanting, as the passives can increase the durations and effects of the consumables.

I suppose, but the bonus through glyphs is also quite helpful for both armor and weapons. Not to mention the economic perspective that enchanting has. I have made more money with this profession than all of the other ones combined. Most of the crafting in ESO is backwards. The materials are more expensive than the value of the item you craft with those materials. But, not with enchanting; there is a very nice profit margin.

I agree .This whole thing looks pretty pointless to me. Unless you can get something like 75-80% of both the maximum potential Stam and Magicka and they add some way to get ~75% of the max potential Weapon/Spell damage/crit . I do not see much improvements to hybrids.

Don't agree with your views on enchanting so I am not even going to bother with a list of reasons as to why, but do think it's too early to argue anything about this addition until there is more information. As usual, ZOS did such a rotten job of presenting this that there is no way to know without proper details.

One thing you can bet though is that it will be possible to make new glyphs of some type, since there are new mats to collect for them (see screenshot, two of the new potency runes are worth one big chunk of TV stones even from a vendor)... Will we be able to decon the prismatic enchants? craft something similar? this is definitely one of the things I intend to check out on PTS and find out what's what, especially in the absence of ZOS bothering to give any decent info on the subject.
