On consoles, there is no text chat, it's nearly impossible to find buyers for anything you're selling or to find sellers for anything you need to buy, and the ZOS-nazis keep shutting down trade threads instead of creating a proper trading forum for consoles or fixing the root of the problem.
My top list of things I want to see changed/fixed:
1. Veteran ranks take far too long to level through, and you get to the point where there's no option other than mind-numbing grinding. Grinding should never be necessary just to progress through the levels, you should always have quest options up to the max level.
2. Trading system is crap. Guild stores worked ok on PC, once they were populated, but probably 50% of trade was still done using zone chat/text chat. On consoles, there is no text chat, it's nearly impossible to find buyers for anything you're selling or to find sellers for anything you need to buy, and the ZOS-nazis keep shutting down trade threads instead of creating a proper trading forum for consoles or fixing the root of the problem.
3. Aesthetics/Customization. We're over a year into the game now, and even longer since the first beta slots opened up, yet we still have no barbershop/character recustomization feature, we still cant dye weapons or shields, we still cant pick from lower level armor models to use on higher level armor (because, let's face it, armor gets uglier and uglier as you level up), we dont have any way to customize our mount appearance/mount armor to match our own, the list goes on and on. These are features that are typically baseline in other MMO's, they shouldnt be something that players are still having to ask for a year+ into the game.
4. PvP still focuses too much on zergballs/wrecking balls. Siege warfare is great, castle-based warfare is great, huge pvp zones are great, but it all means nothing when 40 players cram together into the space of a single character model and run around blasting everything instantly with aoe spells. There are numerous solutions to this problem: first and foremost are the complete removal of AOE caps: if my spell can hit 40 people and do the same amount of damage to all of them, it really discourages them from clumping together. When my spell can only hit 5 or 6 people, or does significantly less damage when there's more targets than that, they're encouraged to cram together.
Adding Player collision would also help this situation greatly. Imagine if (in cyrodiil only), a line of tanky characters could prevent enemies from moving through them. Coordination would allow a group of players to line up shoulder to shoulder and stop the enemy from getting to their healers/archers/casters. You could also coordinate your group to trap or block in an enemy force, preventing their retreat.
5. Crafting vs Rewarded gear. As a master crafter (50 blacksmithing, 50 woodworking, 50 clothing, all motifs and 6-7 researched traits in all item types), I feel relatively useless when it comes to endgame gear. Only a few crafted sets are worthwhile, and those are the 4-6 trait sets. The 8/9 trait sets are mostly useless, and what few good sets I can craft are quite often out-performed by sets that are received as drops or pvp/dungeon rewards. It also takes a ridiculous amount of materials to upgrade an item to epic or legendary, while deconstructing that item only gives a max of a single upgrade material back.
The whole crafting system, as it stands, is a mess. There's not enough ability for customization, there's not enough value to make it worth using over dropped gear, there's no good outlet because of the poor trade system to profit from crafting. I've dumped hundreds of thousands of gold into crafting and havent seen even a break even return from selling gear or traits.
Also, with the latest motifs requiring extremely hard to get style materials (dwemer frames, and soon malachite shards / charcoal), on top of splitting those motifs into a dozen different parts to make it even more tedious to acquire, it feels like Zenimax is just taking a huge steaming dump on the crafters in this game.

It's called using Voice Chat!
Not trying to be mean or rude but Voice Chat is not only easy to use, it is way more efficient than typing for 20 mins to trade something or read nonstop spammers advertising their crap.
I have sold numerous things in Voice Chat. Just roll up to crafting station and share what you are selling. Boom. Done.
Sorry but the infamous, gratuitous, complaining of "the console has no text chat so I can't do anything, ever" is growing quite stale. People act like their Xbox or PS4 will not turn on since there is no text chat on the consoles.

I absolutely HATE the way the Trading / Guild Traders / "Auction House" / whatever you want to refer to it as...system is implemented.
Forces you to spend WAY too much time running to each "trader" just to see if anyone has the item your looking for. I'd rather spend my time playing...not "going to the market".
At least make the "zone" searchable if you're not going to add a "global" Auction House.
No amount of defending the current "system" will make my opinion on the matter change.
