Flames of Oblivion

There seems to be a lot of misinformation in this thread:
    1) Inner Light and Inferno morphs crit does NOT stack, this is a UI bug that shows 20% from inferno, but this is a display bug, people tested this out, it's 10% crit.

    2) The dot is not inferior to max magicka, when you play with Skoria (and in endgame a DK wants to play skoria) its an extra dot and does extra damage. If you only play one toggle, for single target inner light is the worse choice. For max dps its possible to have both, the crit does not stack, but still you get max magicka AND the dot, but this usually requires a permapot build because you only have 6 slots left.

I still prefer AoE damage instead of DoT;I can see why any DK would want the DoT for Skoria (that is if they have it), but over all I still believe flames of oblivion post revamp was better as even though it provided crit, you were able to deal considerable damage to groups of enemies.

If I recall correctly skoria's meteor set ability isn't a constant occurrence and that little fire ball only hits like once every 3 to 4 seconds. In PvP that doesn't really help especially with the low proc rate of sets meteor ability, maybe in PvE since bosses can't easily be one shot you could gain time to invoke the skoria set ability.

Post Flames of oblivion in PvP/PvE still seems a lot better as if you have any close the gap abilities, e.g Critical rush, it would allow you to keep damaging the enemy in-between other attacks/ abilities.
PvE benefits as well because that AoE constantly damages anything around it which allows you to clear dungeons easier.
