With seemingly every werewolf post being ignored, figured I'd try a poll. Maybe get ZOS's attention.

I find the whole werewolf.vampire thing entirely irrelevant so see no need for ZOS to devote a single developer-second fiddling with them when I've not had any new playable content for a year: and no, these transforms aren't playable content to me.

I would like to see all of these, but I think a good start would be a toggle transformation.

I'm confused as to how the toggle could work. If it's similar to lightning form from the the sorc line, you'd still have to have ultimate to use it and it would still only benefit more from having more ultimate stored i.e. how it works now.

If it's a straight up toggle where you can be in wolf form indefinitely, then the devs would need to change some skills and passives so that wolf form wouldn't be too OP. I understand wolf form duration is too short to use it strategically, but there needs to be a limit or some form of balance associated with an unlimited beast form build.

I'm just going to assume anybody who is saying don't change anything at all hasn't every played Werewolf, or doesn't want Werewolves to be viable, for whatever reason. (Vamps probably.)

Can anyone who voted that way elaborate?
  • Kajimano_ESO
None of those are a needed change to me
I have werewolf maxed all skills morphed

I don't need werewolf to be a toggle I can easily sustain werewolf for an hour or more if I want
I'm fine with the way werewolf looks, I don't need to be a red wolf or whatever your looking for in customization
Werewolf as a mount option, nah I'm good on that

Werewolf is a perfectly fine PvE ultimate and I enjoy it everytime I use it

I cannot understand why people with no interest in a thread topic or style of play even bother writing in the thread. Don't get me wrong they have a valuable opinion, but they self-confess that they have no opinion on the topic then--proceed to defend not having a opinion. Like those that answer questions on amazon reviews that say they never bought nor tried the product. It hurts my head.

    1. WW cannot, will not and can never be a toggle. As mentioned by devs. there's many threads on this. Search is your friend. I personally find a toggle unnecessary.
    2. Having been one of the first WW's in game (and waiting a looong time until we got love in v1.6) I find the WW line now--immensely enjoyable, playable and viable in game.
    3. Bugs? sure. Polishing needing done? sure. Good for PvP now...ummm...who plays PvP now? It's broken worse than any WW stuff.
    4. Never, ever pay or solicit a bite for gold. It's the code of the beast.

I just don't want to feel forced to be a WW for the stam regen. There is absolutely no incentive to not be a WW. I'm not saying get rid of the stam but make being a WW more of a unique choice.

    Personally toggle would be great...

With that being said I feel like one a few tweaks to Werewolf would really get it to a happy place for many.

    1. Double the timer and timer related abilities... We just need more time!

    2. Add a passive to blood rage, when health drops below 30% gain a 10kish damage shield similar to the White strikes set. 15sec cool-down. Gives us the survivability that is needed to make werewolf viable.

    3. Fix Devour... let me explain, in order to eliminate lag in Cyrodiil you have removed all wildlife, and set the npc corpse despawn rate to ridiculously low levels. This changes make it VERY hard to find something to eat after a fight. Secondly Devour requires that the corpse be present at the end of the devour, this is not good because 1/2 the time (at least) your opponent being so pissed will release right after death, taking his fleshy goodness with him.

    4. Tie the 15% stamina regeneration buff in with the werewolf ultimate slotting. OR with Introduction of the new shrines in Imperial city make is so Werewolves and Vampires can not acquire the buffs (we have already chosen our Gods)

    5. Add increased poison damage to (both) human and werewolf form.

    6. Make synergy work in werewolf form.

    7. Pursuit also reduces sprint cost by 30%

    8. Possibly add taunt

I voted for increased timer and better refill options, only because I believe it is more likely than a toggle, and it would make me happy.

It would be cool if devour was a bit quicker, and recovered some stamina as well.

I think the transformation should remain as an ultimate but the timer should be removed. While I agree with posters above it is possible to remain in WW form in most PvE content, I also firmly believe it is a horrible mechanic in PvP content and high PvE content because devour animation takes way to much time and gives a hard time to your party to keep together. The timer in PvP content is also forcing players to be reckless if they want to keep the transformation up. The timer just removes the fun out of the transformation, in my oppinion, because the player is constantly in a situation where he feels forced to rush trough everything and can't realy take a break.

If they remove the timer, the WW transformation would be like a third weapon swap but at the cost of no Ult gain while transformed which I think is balanced by itself. It would also remove most of the issue relative to PvP and PvE group content.

all the optiions i listed were things ive seen repeatedly brought up in the other Werewolf main thread on the developer discussion, so "Search is your friend" is kind of a weird thing to say. By removing the werewolf timer All together it essentially becomes a permanent transformation, so basically a toggle.. however they choose to implement that would be up to them. i included the option of "WW are perfectly fine as is" to see if people A) had other suggestions or B ) people who play as WW legitimately have zero issues, and from what ive seen, of the 12 who did vote that way, 1 gave no inclination he even plays as a werewolf and the other does actually enjoy it as is, although he is quite literally the only person ive stumbled across since i got the game on ps4 launch that feels that way. either way when you add up all the people who want SOME form of change to come to the ww the people who dont want anything are in the minority.

the ww timer worked in Skyrim and other single player eso games because you could build around it and become a wolf god like beast with almost no restrictions. here however 9/10 seem to agree that being a ww for anything other than the stamina boost is a step back. some such as myself would be happy if improvements were made for at least RP elements(such as being able to select wolf form as a mount so you can travel at the speed of a werewolf, or have human form passives such as wild wolves having a yellow aura instead of automatic red enemy) and some people were more vocal about wanting some kind of timer change. if you have zero interest in the ww skill line please dont come on here and skew the results that hopefully reflect what the vast majority of ww players may want. the purpose of the none of the above was so that people who voted that way could then say what they would actually want, seeing as how i didnt include it. by now most ww players know what the devs have said almost word for word, because theyve been trying to find hints at something ww related to look forward to.

Toggle is not going to happen, but making it easier to extend the timer indefinitely would be nice.

Extended timer, mainly in pvp where lack of things to devour. My solution would be to stop the timer when 'in combat' and have it start again at the end of combat. Leave all other timer enhancing mechanics.

I would like to see devour replenish stamina too.

Survivability feels poor, but it's basically because most WW forget to block or roll dodge and werwolves are quickly focussed in zergs. No class shield or invisibility mechanics makes it hard to avoid being focussed or to heal through some focus fire. Increased base physical and spell resist (+6k) would be nice, particularly once 1.7 lands.

The heal currently scales off magica - I would like to see it scale off stamina personally. Happy with it costing magica, but if that means it must scale off magica, make one morph stamina to scale off stamina.

A ranged taunt on one of the howl morphs would be good for PvE tanking. I would love to see a leader of the pack tank and 3 berserkers running vet dungeons all in wolf form.

Otherwise I think WW is pretty good. I can wreck small pvp groups (all be it low skill players) and usually go well against decent players. Some builds have good counters to WW, but nothing should be all powerful.

I think we can all agree that none of us want these things or maybe we want a few but it is small segment of the community. Also what the game needs is to balanced CP is out of control in PvE and PvP. Something needs to be done to change it. We also need veteran ranks removed at some point and a solution. These are the issues I think the community should focus on.

I love all these "for role play reasons" they really do make me laugh. If you wanted to role play a werewolf you would have no benefits in human form whatsoever and "for role play reasons" you would only be able to change form on and around the full Moon, at night. With that in mind please stop trying to use that as an excuse to boost the abilities in ways that are not remotely related to role play.
