OP: To be Emperor, you have to be at the top of the Leaderboards in your home campaign when your alliance takes the Central Keeps. That's it. So if you really want it, join a PvP guild, learn the ropes and then put in the time at the beginning of a campaign.

There are nights when the campaigns are active that you get at least three emperors.

@Emperorslayer I read the thread correctly. You want to remove the trophy because you see it as an unrealistic achievement. There are many former emperors running around so clearly it is not too unrealistic.

If you think it takes playing 24/7 to become Emperor you are wrong. Start at the beginning of a campaign and grind hard. It won't take a week, I promise.

Oh, I play on XB1 so that explains why. Took a couple weeks to get the leaderboard but only a few hours to take the keeps with help from guild.

There's an achievement, the regalia and a title (which turns to Former Emperor when you get deposed).

I believe the emperor has to leave the campaign for that to happen.

Now, I don't PvP much at all (it's one of those things I always mean to do more of), but last month I actually spent a good chunk of a day in Cyrodiil and had quite a bit of fun, and I was shocked that I actually received an end-of-campaign reward for that one day yesterday.

So OP, find a nice PvP guild and learn the ropes. It's not that hard. Then when the time comes, make a push for it. It's probably going to be easier in the long run than getting Master Angler (which I'm still working on).

The current emperor can abdicate the throne by leaving the campaign (assigning another campaign as "home"), but the next top ranked player doesn't automatically get the emp title. Many have tried this as a form of emp farming and the rest of us laugh when it doesn't work. To successfully transition, the existing emp has to abdicate, your faction has to lose all 6 Imperial keeps, then recap them. It has to be all six gone, then all six back.

Yes, but to crown the next person in line, all inner ring keeps need to be lost and recaptured. All must be lost at the same time, you can't lose one and recapture, then lose another.

ok i see. Is omeone here to focus on the emperer and plays on the european server ? a lot of us could form a strong guild I think. My idea was to give the title next to my friend when hes the second place. Such crab.

Yeah, basically. It's been awhile since I read up on it, but it is a little more involved. If the Emperor simply leaves the campaign, then the game doesn't realize there's no longer an emperor. I think you need to flip one of the keeps first, the emperor leaves, they retake the keep and then the new #1 is coronated.

Not really difficult, it just takes a lot of time and bait. Fishing in a group increases your chance of catching rare fish.

It's a pure PITA for sure !!!! but then you're proud of it.

However, it requires only A LOT of time, an INCREDIBLE level of patience, and a good methodology. No actual playing skill.

What they are taking out is the Former Emp buffs you got to keep after you are dethroned.

Emperor Buffs/Skill Line: The "Former Emperor" buffs are being removed from the game. With this new system, you will only get Emperor buffs while your character is actively Emperor. Also, you will be granted the Emperor skill line and abilities upon earning Emperorship, without the need to spend ability points. All players that have spent points in the Emperor skill line will be refunded those skill points.

Stop ignoring our wishes and do something for us costumers. Its not normal that so many people are hating this game. really strange . Its only a trophy I know. But trophies should be doable for evevryone not only for people who not have a goal in their life. And yes because of this trophy this game ist not so much enjoyable for me. sorry Anti trophy hunters to dissapointing you . Remove that trophy and give those who already become enpror an acceptable bonus. and like I said a handfull of your employees could do this but only if they get fired lol.

lets look to Ubisoft. The game Watch dogs. I dont play this game but there was a trophy for playing a drink game. This drink game was so annoying and frustrating that players wrote to ubisoft to patch or do it moe reachable to obtain. hmmm what ubisoft did ? yes they dont make it easier they only do it doable for everyone.
you can play this game for 10.00000 hours and not getting it. This doenst make sense. This is not a trphy should be.
so everyone who wants to get this game 0 to 100 write down here and hope zenimax will read it on the spot of the thread forum.

Making getting EMperor an achievement on Xbbox1 ist ridicilous for all of us costumers, ith doenst make sense for the devolopers to expect evevryone to become enpror within 10.00000 hrs in order to completze it, I am very dissapointed I cant get the trphy

What's always struck me as weird about the emperor buffs is that they're unique. I don't mean that only one player can get them, but that there isn't some kind of leadership skill as you rank up in Cyrodiil that provides buffs to your team members, or some indication that, "no, really" your rank in your Alliance Military means something beyond, "well, now I can buy stuff in this tree." Until you hit Emperor, and then instant buffs.

I mean, on one hand it would imbalance Cyrodiil further, but at the same time...

I'd also like to see this removed or the requirements changed. Play in a campaign while your faction takes all 6 keeps and crowns an emperor.

There are more than enough long grind trophies in the game to compensate for this to keep people around.

I agree with OP because this trophy isn't about skill. It's about who has the time, the most friends, and the least amount of responsibility. What does that sum up to? Kids. This game is marketed towards fledgling teenagers and young adults who have no work, children, or responsibility. IMO that's the wrong choice. There's an increasing amount of console players, many trophy hunters, who also hold down lives. This trophy is the very core of what I hate about the younger generations. Teenagers and early 20 somethings lazing about with mom and dads cash, playing a system that their parents bought them and having video game companies like Zenimax enabling that behavior. Meanwhile, people like me who work and play are left in the dark. I could earn this trophy, i have a decked out 44 non vet char and I'm quite competent in pvp. I would just have to throw away everything I hold dear to achieve it. Is that just? Partially my fault i suppose. I should have checked the trophy list before purchase. I never would have bought it. Don't get me wrong I like tough achievements, its quite an accomplishment for those who are "enabled" enough to achieve it. For most it's outrageously unrealistic because we don't fit the demographic. To be locked out of a platinum trophy because of your demographic is not only unjust and wrong, it proves that ZOS truly doesn't understand the mind of a console gamer. PC gamers and consoles gamers are not the same, not even close.

Well IMHO you calling this trophy achievement (which has no impact on the game and doesn't matter at all, let alone is a mater of life and death) "unjust and wrong" means that you have no true idea of what "injustice" and "wrong" mean .

Is it really impossible for you to enjoy the game without ALL achievements ?

I've never been a trophy guy but the emperor trophy definately struck me as unusual. Should of just been reach pvp rank X.

I know some games change their trophys but Zos isn't known for listening to feedback
