Should ESO Turn Up The Heat (aka Gore)?...REVISITED!

*Caution: The following poll is NOT for kids under the age of 14.*

Ok, I know for a fact that ESO tried for a T rating, but failed. A fellow forum poster started a similar poll to this one, but he was awfully biased and, to my knowledge, was probably mentally unstable.

So, here's my question: Now that ESO is M for Mature, should ESO turn up the heat (aka gore)? Note, I am making this poll private.

i don't really care about the boobs tbh i mean if they added them whatever, but since i don't care about that and im here for the gore aspect that's how i voted, after running down someone chain healing and rolling around like an idiot, it would be great to execute them by chopping their head off.

You don't have an unbiased "No" option. The game already has a certain level of gore and sexual things. Just because you may feel it's not an acceptable level doesn't mean the game has no amount of gore and sex in it as is. I just did a certain quest involving a certain Breton holding a very large loaf of bread in his lap and asking me if I wanted a bite with an unclad woman lying on a bed in the backdrop. I consider that sexual, don't you?

ESO is a Mature rated game. I would love for it to seem like one. I'm an adult and I'm not too ashamed that I would enjoy a "dirtier" ESO. Blood on the battlefield. A street walker on the on the corner. Revealing armors. a Prostitutes Guild. Skooma dens with full-on Skooma addiction. Gambling. Getting Drunk. Loan sharks. Animal fighting. Knee breakers. I want it all!

Rivenspire and the Breton in question is half naked too and if you take the time to listen to the quest dialogue when he sees another female he says something about "The more the merrier". It's a great scene and should you come across a half naked man holding a loaf of bread in his lap be sure to listen to the entire voice over

Really though I would like a bit more blood it look quite silly smacking someone ad nauseum and never seeing a drop of red.

I would be for, but I don't think it's a good marketing idea. They would need to put the game M-rated, and while a lot of teenagers play M-rated games, some would be left out, retaining some of the income that the game would've generated, remaining T-rated.

That being said, a lot of the player base of mmorpgs are adults, but I would be curious as to see the exact numbers.

EDIT: After some read, I just realised that the game is aleready M-rated.... so I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be more gory. It's not a huge need though...

If you have stuff like Daggers, Battleaxe or Two handers you should have a gore/blood. I bought Ryse from Steam's summer sales man Im loving it, its really AoC on steroids.

I agree with Brothels. But I dont think girls should look like some barbie silicon babes with stuffed lips, that just isnt very ES to me.

i mean blood's fine, i wouldn't want excessive gore where it's just all over the place. and no thanks to the nudity/sex, that was never part of the elder scrolls and i doubt it ever will be. lol

Yeah, maybe I'm a little biased, but at least I'm not making the no option "No, I'm weak and don't want it in my games." Because that's real bias, and I know that won't sit well with other posters.

Go back and play Arena and Daggerfall. You'll see nudity aplenty. As for sex I'd suggest reading some ingame books one of Vivec's sermons details his carnal misadventure with Molag bal. Also the Remanada details the origins of Sanctre tor...

I'd welcome more gore. The Skyrim Killmove mod is a favorite of mine. As long as it's realistic. I wouldn't want blood to spout from superficial wounds and such.

As far as the "Boobs and other things", it would be nice if there were areas where that type of thing is part of the landscape. Thieves' Dens, Brothels, etc. People that don't want to see that can avoid those places, but they definitely would have been around and in some locales might have been quite prominent in certain regions.

I think I tried to bring up something like this over a year ago when I got kickback for using "curse words" and someone said that the game is not rated M in all regions of the globe which is why we don't see a plethora of mature content and why the forums are censored more than would be expected for a "Mature" title.

Bring on the gore! War is, after all, extremely messy and bloody. However, make it a toggle, so the squeamish can at least turn it off.

Sexual things I'm fine with as long as it's treated equally - boobs, bums and man parts for all. Again, as a toggle for the prudish.

Maybe there should be parental controls with that toggle switch...after all, gore and blood is not for children.

That should be up to parents to police their own children properly, not the responsibility of game/film/book companies. All too often parents seem to want to shuck off responsibility instead of doing it themselves.

But yes, if it made them happy. More options = more happy customers.
