    IIRC, the Beta's started in the Spring of 2013, but those were closed betas. I think it was February/March for the earliest beta sessions.

    For the longest time, all we had were the Starter Islands. And, we got a character wipe each session so we had to do those over and over and over and over and over and over again.

    What are you talking about? The game hasn't come out yet. It is still in its beta stages. At least for those of us on the PC side....

    I can't wait for a finished product with less bugs and lots of content to finally be released.

    Pretty much, they ramped up over the beta year from just a few people during the very first weekends to a much larger beta weekend crowd towards the middle of 2013 and on to the super secret 24/7 Psijic Order closed beta in the fall of 2013.

    And don't forget that we were usually locked to one alliance choice as well. Even though I have now done the starter islands dozens of times if I include beta tests and I still don't mind them. That being said, with 3 vet level characters (2 max level) I have pretty much burned out on the leveling process as a whole.

    Yep... I mentioned it in the PC thread, but I didn't think of making a new one about it :p. I got mine last night, too... it's been awhile.
    -First-Wave Closed Beta Tester of the Psijic Order, aka the 0.016 percent.
    Exploits suck. Don't blame just the game, blame the players abusing them!
    -Playing since July 2013, back when we had a killspam channel in Cyrodiil and the lands of Tamriel were roamed by dinosaurs.

    -In-game mains abound with "Nerf" in their name. As I am asked occasionally, I do not play on anything but the PC NA Megaserver at this time.

    I prefer logging into Trove than ESO these days... I log in to collect my hirelings mail and maybe do 1-2 quests and log off... And I don't even think Trove is a great game lol.

    I might give Trove a shot if it wasn't Trion. Trion can go F themselves. Sad that the list of game developers with a good rep is getting smaller and smaller and even ones that started out good have been corrupted into crap.

    I got my 1st Anniversary Badge this past February from attending my first Beta weekend last year. Looking back to the old footage, I remember now how there was no collision detection, animations were still clunky, combat wasn't anywhere near as smooth or reliable as it is now...and the lighting was totally different. I think our characters also move faster now.

    The entire beginning section of the game was wildly different. You would start in the starter islands and were forced to play through them to get to your faction's respective "first" zone. It was quite literally a forced tutorial after the tutorial, and it was why so many players were still biased and chose the AD over every other faction at launch, much like myself. Still grateful for that change, honestly. Oh, and there was also the insanely long Coldharbour sequence we used to have. Man, have things come a long way when you really reflect on the game over the course of a year and more... :D
