Hi guys,
I would like to discuss about the Champion System.
In my opinion, this system brings a way too huge gap between grinders and not grinders even with diminishing returns.
Grinders with 1500+ CP have so far better stats than those with ~400 that it is impossible for a 400ish to defeat a 1500+ish a little skilled.
I understand that longer playing means more rewards and more power and this is not my real problem with the Champion System.
The worst thing is that when more content comes, grinders keep their advance.
In many games, characters power relies on gear. When new content comes, this gear is "obsolete" and pro-gamers have to farm for a new gear meaning that old players and new players are on an equal state for this new gear.
This is a way to "reset" gap between players.
With Champion System, such mechanic doesn't exists and old player will keep their advance making it impossible to new players to compete with them.
I fear that in a few month, this discourage new players to go in Cyrodiil or even to play. A game need a progression that is obsolete after each new content to be viable on the long term. New players must be able to reach the progression of an old player (neither too fast or too slow).
What do you guys think ? Do you like the champion system as it is ? Do you think this can be viable regarding new players on the long term ?
