the game needs 1 or 2 extra slots in the ability bars

PLease consider adding 1 or 2 extra slots in the ability bars. Its frustrating trying to swap weapons all the time in the middle of fight. Its also frustrating knowing that if I could have just 1 extra slot the survivability chances increase so much more and or pull extra damage helps with survivavbility. but do not reduce or take away abilities from if you consider doing this.

I reallyy wish I could slot all my abilities from skill line plus 1 extra from another skill line

    Nope I do not want it easy just frustrating that I have to change bars in the middle fight. so that I can use another ability that I feel can be used to survive :)

    Question to you though, Cherry blossom Can you take on 2 or three bosses at the same time that are 3rd tier especially v10 or above ?
    I am just curious. I am really trying to understand and improve my toons for dps

    for me one muffin and one capuccino extra coffe. :)
    there are 2 abilities bars, that make possible almost any combination.

    it will be nice, thought, have only 1 bar with 6-7 skills. this will make the game much harder, becouse the use of only one weapon.

    Give me an extra skill or two and I will still be swapping bars throughout fights as I can fit even more useful skills on there.
    Bar swapping is a pretty integral part of combat by design, the choices we need to make is why we are not just running around with endless hotbar space.

    Personally I like the limitations as they require choice. The fact you can not slot everything you might want but have to pick and choose which suit best, is in my opinion something that benefits gameplay. Choosing between more damage, control or healing really makes the game far more interesting to me.

    I also do not want my weapon swapping removed even if we were given more slots instead. The combinations of different weapons really opens up a lot more versatility and removing that choice would reduce the fun of combat in my opinion.

    TL;DR - Meaningful choices add to gameplay.

    the difficult in game is in developing a nice swapping bar control. once reach, the game become very easy, becouse you have access at what you are asking, more skills during fight.

    thought, sometimes there could be lags in pvp, that make hard play nicely.

    Answer, would depend upon my class and build, but really the game when fighting multiple bosses should mean you have to be in a group and not be able to Solo.

    If it didn't gimp you it wouldn't be a sacrifice nor a compromise.
    5 actives per weapon = 5 actives per weapon slot
    It forces people to choose skills "most" suited to their play style and encourages uniqueness [except for the sheep]

    Although I am fine with the 5x2+2 system, the notion that in any way encourages build diversity is still the most ridiculous nonsense that people gave as an argument for this system.This is especially true after 1.6 where the addition of major and minor buffs made some skills almost non optional for some build types. The lack of slots has always limited uniqueness and hybrid by removing the ability to use multiple skill synergies.

    I was actually just saying this the other day. That said, games recently have been settling on 5 button hotbars because it's easier for the devs to balance, and often encourages cookie cutter builds more than having > 5 buttons would; I get that, and I can respect the class balance they have been able to create using it. I'd rather be limited and have a balanced game than have 7-8 buttons and deal with constant FotMs.

    if I as a sorcerer player got 1 or even 2 more places to put skills on, I would do easily over 30k dps single target

    I like the current system, where we have to pick and choose between our skills, and sacrifice some for the greater good.

    No. If they ever added 1 or 2 more ability slots, then players would cry out for 1 or 2 more, then 1 or 2 more. It would never stop. Pretty soon, the game would have five action bars with 10 slots each cluttering up the screen. Screw that.

    I would just like 1 slot for a toggle skill like Radiant Light. That way it does not have to reside on both bars. Or fix toggle items so when on they stay on even if the bar is switched.

    I would like this to have say another dragonic skill to boost my health recovery even more but again that means says players who abused mechanics we all know who they are will be able to abuse more broken skills so to speak. So like the idea but can never add it in. That and console version only have 7 slots (1 for ulti one for potions) cause there's not that many buttons to support 9 slots. So really wouldn't be fair if PC has 6 or 7 slots for skills while console only gets 5.

    +1 for active buff spots on skill bar. all the cool buffs in game and i use none of them bcz no room on bar for them and swapping weaps usually removes beneficial effects. weapon swapping as a general rule is not my favorite mechanic of the game. so doing it for short term vanishing buffs is a show stopper.

    that being said, im glad its not a 30 button mash with macros and pushing the lua to the breaking point with
    /wait 0.1 on 10 skill chains with a consumable at the end :P

    but something in between wouldnt be hated

    Having limited skill slot in action bar makes you think about which skill you really need. Put more slot and you will see everyone running the dame build

    We don't need an extra ability slot, but instead a dedicated slot for buffs/toggles/pets/etc. This will eliminate taking up a slot (or two if you put the same toggle or buff in both weapon slots) allowing for better use and management of the other slots. We have one slot dedicated for our ultimate, so why not lay one aside for an ability that isn't used in combat rotation?

    I am so amused to see all these new console players starting threads asking for the exact same things PC players used to ask for all the time, before finally giving up and realizing it wasn't going to happen. :)

    Not more slots on the bars, MORE BARS! I've been saying since Vet levels that the "award" for VR1 should be a third bar. There are more roles and things at that level to try. A third bar would be great and save a ton of build swaping.

    But that's a problem with skill balance.
    If you make one skill more OP than the rest everyone with any sense will adopt that skill.
    The system allows and encourages uniqueness...the skill imbalance has wrecked it.

    My opinion remains the same as it did back in the day when this was a hot button issue. First it's more skills per bar, then more bars, then cd's, followed by me ragequitting because I specifically chose this to get away from those games.

    This sounds reasonable to me as a new player. IMHO 5 slots is nice. There's not too much to remember so I can switch things up and not forget where everything is, and there are enough slots to make multiple roles possible, especially with two bars (three if you're Overloaded).

    A dedicated toggle slot would be nice, but it would also be game-breaking. It is a sacrifice to have a pet and run magelight or another toggle on both bars, but without that sacrifice it would be too powerful. Plus, what then would be the limit to toggle slots? You could then argue for a group toggle ability that takes up one slot on both bars that toggles 2 or 3 abilities. I'm fairly sure most characters would become OP if they could run multiple toggles while maintaining most other slots for actives.

    The number of slots is just fine as-is, and it is a good design decision to keep you wanting more, because you then have a motive to vary your build according to the challenge at hand. I can't argue against non-combat loadout saving/swapping though. I'd love to have solo leveling, group dungeon, and PvP loadouts (abilities and armor) pre-made and easily swappable outside of combat/dungeons. It should be impossible to use during any activity, but in between when you would reasonably have time to adjust your loadout natively.

    Personally, I love the idea of more. I come from another game that basically gave you endless ability hotkeying, so while I am not asking for that sort of freedom, I feel having to swap between for 5 abilities is quite annoying. Why not make it just ONE ability bar of 10, but still allow the weapon and ultimate swap to occur.

    I am ok with the set up now however I wish that they would consider 1 additional "utility slot" for Rapid Maneuvers :)
