I just bought and started to play The Witcher 3

There have been a few discussions here before about what elements of W3 could be incorporated into ESO.

W3 manages to make the world feel very real with the level of detail - that could not be recreated in an MMO though with current tech.

At the end of the day ZOS should just concentrate on making ESO the best game it can be. It can't be W3. There isn't another game I have come across in years as good as W3.

I don't enjoy to play solo game so much. The only solo game I ever played were : Final Fantasy9, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Morrowind, Skyrim and DragonAge1. And I only managed to finish DragonAge 1 cause I wanted my character to marry Allistair

one of my favourites I'd like from the Witcher 3 into ESO would be the distance to your current active quest on minimap, however many yards or meters etc so you can look at the minimap and think, ye I better go to a wayshrine, or hey it's not far I'll jump on the horse.

Possibly have the dotted line on the map to show you the route to take too, rather than running for miles the wrong way and there's no way through, this goes for your own personal marker too, but a different color.

Cadwell is voice acted by the amazing John Cleese, bestt character in the game by a country mile. Just saying.

Cleese is by far the best actor in the whole game but is his voice the best for cadwell? Couldnt help myself with the feeling that there is huge disparity between voice and image but its propalby just me.

I don't think it has anything to do with satisfying urges.

It's about a compelling story and beliveable world in which missing out the realties and complexities of the adult world (including normal adult relationships) would diminish that story.

The Geralt/Yen on/off relationship etc thing is at the heart of the witcher stories.

Also the most talked about scene in the game (yes the unicorn) was not just put in there randomly for the sake of it. It does actually reference something in the books.

Uh "satisfy your urges"? You mean you... when some pixels on the screen... just straight... uh thats not normal dude get help or call someone that will come and get you some sensual relief. I agree, it's not normal and that's why it's messed up that he's asking. The game doesn't need sex to be immersive. Great writing trumps that and the fact that he's asking for "sexual themes" and "mature content" is incredibly disturbing.

well, i just wanted to suggest things again... and since i bought the Witcher 3 , i have been remembered of Mass Effect again, which is a really good game, which has an adult athmosphere and feeling that i liked a lot.

and yeah, i have been missing the cinematic experience from the very start ..

my opinion is that it's possible compare apples with pears at any time

and you can get inspiration from anywhere (e.g . Witcher 3 or any boardgame)... for your creative work...(e.g. ESO in this case)

but, yeah, very probably wenxue2222b16_ESO is right with his post mentioning that the main issue is the current tech that is at disposal to the developers; it does not allow too many features in MMOs atm.

I just need NPCs to have occasinal special dialog lines depending on your race and choices. I'm a Dunmer in the Dominion, I want to feel like an outsider at first and earn their trust not feel trusted right off the boat.

Dragon age origins did this well and I would be jumping for joy if they would add some variety to the dialog.

I would truly love it if one day they could create an MMO set in the witcher world. One day when the tech is good enough maybe. Trouble is it would not make sense for us all to be playing as witchers or sorceresses. They would need to find a story mechanism to explain why we were all roaming the world pretending to be witchers or something instead of staying at home and being farmers or blacksmiths.

By MMO I mean in that sense being able to share the witcher world with others - perhaps it could be done by having lots of small worlds with a limited number of players - less then 300 maybe in - that way you see and interact with other players but you are not overwhelmed by a million witcher recruits everywhere you go. That will impact trade though. It's a difficult to figure out how it would work without ruining what we enjoy about the world.

There probably are lessons ESO could learn from W3 in the way that the company and playerbase seem to have genuine respect for each other and for the detail and integrity of the story. I can't see them selling a frost horse DLC costing £25 for W3 somehow.

So what you guys are saying is all the woman who buy romance novels are gross and disturbed? Science has proven that even basic images of circles and squares, when positioned in certain ways, can cause emotion and sexual stimuli in the human psyche. Wikipedia is amazing.

I think there are plenty of valid points here about how W3 might or might not influence or improve ESO. There is so much that W3 has got right after all - even if they are different sorts of games with different technical limitations.

Also I blooming love love love the soundtrack for W3. At least 7 tracks have made it onto my list of stuff I listen to on the way to work. Sometimes I think the tavern music in ESO doesn't work. Maybe a few multi instrumental tracks done really well might help rather than them all being bard songs.

If you like witcher 3 more than eso then idk why you're commenting. Just play the witcher 3. When you finish the game in a week and are bored with it, I'll still be playing eso and having fun. Sorry you don't like to read but maybe that's your biggest hint that an mmo isn't your game.

Witcher is good, but ESO does not need more nasty bits. I would rather it not be in a game like this more than it already is. If you need it, there are other places you can go, and other things you can play.

Are you repressed or something? Sex is part of life, therefore having it in games just makes it a more immersive game world. It has nothing to do with "getting off" for a lot of people (especially me, since I'm gay and most RPGs/games only depict straight sexual relationships).

How is asking for more mature content "disturbing?" Do you live in some imaginary world in real life where you poo sunshine and rainbows, and live in a magical pink fairy cloud kingdom?

To the topic at hand: My issue with TESO is that a lot of the quests are just plain boring. I'm level 26 right now, and getting bored to be honest. Voice acting only makes it bearable to a certain degree if the content (the story/quests) are dull. Also, I don't understand what it is with TES games and having to have monotone voice acting.

Do the people in the world of TES games suffer from some vocal range disease, that makes them all sound like super depressed zombies? I just don't understand it. Dealt with it in Skyrim, now seeing basically the same thing in TESO.
