Eastmarch Quests

So I am a level 33 and have been adventuring in Eastmarch.

I have done 38/43 quests in Eastmarch and am wondering, how am I able to get to level 38 (the level you should be in Riften) if I am not able to get up to that point. Mages guild quest 5, The Harbourage 4.5 and The Fighters Guild quest 5 won't be able to get me up to that point. What should I do to fix my EXP woes?

did you go in every dungeon like fungal grotto etc ?

Thats a lot of expierence if you do not go in there.

did you do every Dolmen, little Dungeon (Torches on map) and Public Dungeon?

    greetings

Thanks for the reply. No I have not, I don't seem to gain much exp from those, I'll try them anyway. I've done fungal grotto, but the next one in Deshaan was much to hard because my only friends I can party with you play the game are either 12 levels below me or 26 levels below me. So defeating a level 17 3 star boss is near impossible.

I don't think doing the Dolems, Delves and Public dungeons will push me over the edge though, but I'll see.

If you'd done Stonefalls then Deshaan then Shadowfen you'd be fine, you must've missed Shadowfen.

For some reason I skipped Eastmarch after I had done half of Riften. I have no idea how I got to Riften in the first place but I was simply "leeching" quests because I had to. By this I mean I did all the steps possible alone and then simply waiting for higher level players to come and do the same quest and then just follow them, while they were killing al the hard stuff.

Of course this is not as fun, but it skyrockeded my levels and even at level 33 I did most of Coldharbour.

IMO its so easy to be OP by the time you leave the starter zones, its' ridiculousness. My alt was at level 49 before I even started Eastmarch. It's currently at VR 3 and I just finished the main quest in Coldharbor, plus the fighter and mages giuld quest too. I usually complete every task in each of the zones before moving on and genocide everything that glows red.

    Did you:
    1) Kill everything glowing red; the bigger the better.
    2) Finish every dolmen.
    3) Finish, every delve.
    4) Finish the public dungeons killing all the bosses in them,
    5) Finish all the group dungeons killing all the bosses in them.
    6) Find all the treasure chests in each zone. The amount if XP you get is ridiculousness in the higher level zones.
    7) Locate all the points of interest.
    8) Kill all the world bosses?
    9) Do any of the undaunted pledges?
    10) Don't forget to do the quests in the starter zones for some easy XP.

One of the things I always do when questing is to look for treasure chests and kill everything that glowed red; the bigger and meaner it is, the more XP I gained. On many occasions I would kill a world boss several times as I passed that area while questing. Mammoths and giants in Eastmarch are good for XP, and for testing you fighting skills.

There is an add--on called "Destinations" which shows all the quest givers, points of interest, and etc. It's a great tool. It doesn't work retroactively, but it will show you where all the quest givers are. After I finished the Main, Mages, and Figther's guild quests, I found several quests that in several of the lower level zones that I missed.

Another great add-on is "True Exploration" it shows areas on the map that you haven't explored which is good for finding treasure chests.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks I will need to follow your steps and do those. I have done most of 7. Done some of 8 and done all of 10. Also I play on console so I can't use addons.

I would actually like to know if this is a glitch. Because I only gained 2 levels in Eastmarch where in Shadowfen I gained about 7 or 8.

Get the impression you're missing a lot of quests. Did you travel to the starter island after escaping Cold Harbor? My current alt is 3 levels above in the last zone before heading for Cold Harbor. This is without doing dolmens, public dungeons & most of the world bosses. Only joined the fighters & mages guild without doing any of the related quests.

There are addon's available which can aid you, providing you're on pc. I'd recommend "destinations" from esoui.com.

I have got all of the adventurers achievements apart from the rift. That is including the starting island one. It says helped all of the lost villagers. Which are the only quests on that island. I don't know how you levelled so well.

Only advise I can offer is about exploration. Explore every nook & cranny in each zone. You might find smaller side quests missed, same with locations, areas of interest & mundus stones, as all give XP. Delves (solo dungeons) can also contain quests.
