Disappearing items.

Anyone experiencing this?

Yesterday the wife found a fragment from a provisioning writ...then it vanished, no sign of it for almost 24-hours now....ticket sent in, hopefully they can even track this sort of thing? Anyways was talking to a guildie who said he had a motif dissappear not to long ago...his experience was that it resurfaced some time later. Just curious if this is a widespread issue or isolated incidents.

If you have had this happen can you please describe your experience?

Not really sure, I usually blame losing items on accidentally deleting them, selling them, or moving them to a bank alt and being too lazy to figure out which one the item is on.

If this is an actual thing I could be losing items left and right and really have no idea if its a game bug or my own fault.

You don't accidentally misplace a 25k motif or a 200k frag, that said I did ask my wife if she accidentally read the frag etc.. she said no (I'm not sure how to check) the motif reappeared so who knows there.

You can't accidentally read fragments unless you have all 7 in your inventory, and then it just turns them into the gold Ambrosia recipe.

Are you on PC or console? On PC the Advanced Filters addon hasn't been updated with separate categories for certain things like fragments so you have to click the "all items" sub category for the main consumable category to see them.

I'm on PC so is wife....but she had no problem seeing the other frag she got the same day. I do not think this is an addon function unless different fragment numbers are being catagories differently and inconsistently by the game. I think (will confirm later) that she did check the all items tab. In any case that doesn't shed any light on the purple motif which has been in game a long time.

Yeah, if she is using Advanced Filters fragments don't show up under the recipes category - I believe they show up under trophies like green and blue fish and collectibles do. really confused me at first, and I know I've seen another post on the forums of someone who thought they had lost a fragment, only to find it under a different filter category later.

If that's not it, then I have no suggestions aside from contact CS.

You say that, but my first primal motif I accidentally tossed into my guild bank. Luckily, I was able to trace it back to the guild bank within a few minutes when I panicked and thought I lost it.

I've never experienced any treasured items going missing, but I did notice a long time ago I lost a few disguises. They all returned randomly one day, all except the goblin one. Which makes me sad.

I'd keep your ticket in and wait it out. They can review the data and track it.

Also make sure it didn't get marked as "junk". I have found stuff there i thought i had lost ...

Ah, yup that would do it. So the person it accidentally went to sent it back? That was sure nice of them! I had something similar happen to me once - accidentally sent a set of gear to the wrong account name and the person was kind enough to send it back instead of just keeping it.
