Anyways, I said before that I wouldn't engage in debate with the live-in forum-dwellers. So ends my responses. The point has been made, and it's apparent that everyone except for "that one guy, " who's always on every thread arguing, agrees that Endgame needs to be readdressed.

i agree it needs to be addressed but not in the way you seem to be suggesting

Consider this thread. This is the way it should be.

PS4 console, almost Tamriel hero status and no one is in zones when I'm running around gold, hardly even any in silver. Let alone craglorn, I'm just finishing off the few quests I have left and grinding when I can. It's completely barren of activity, though. A few times, in silver areas, I'll run into a group of 2-3, then nothing as we go our seperate ways.

    Like a lonely high-level cowboy.

Exactly. And I'm on ps4. Like I said, it's like a Souls game - get high enough and there's no more multiplayer.

You're also 2 weeks into the console launch. You're disappointed you don't see a plethora of other players running around when it takes many players 100+ hours to get there?

It doesn't take a genius to see the limitations of the current Endgame scenario, regardless of how far from launch they are, not to mention that we aren't without a plethora of pc players who transferred over. I just don't understand why some people live and breathe to argue on forums even when they're arguing to keep game from being improved upon. It's silly, really.

As to-the-point as @MCMancub is, he's right. You won't see a great deal of people from consoles grinding vet zones for at least a few more weeks. People are enthralled by the 1-50 story, which is the best part of the game.

However, I can agree with you, @Mastodonials, that the game feels stunted and boring from VR1 - VR14. If you complete the grind, you let out a long sigh of relief. It's a painful grind for sure. And if you decide to punish yourself again on a different char, it makes the grind feel much, much worse.

I hit VR1 last night and never saw another player after that. I went to cyrodiil in azuras star only to see AD is running the show there and DC appeared to only have about 20 players. ESO splits the population waaaay to much.

I see two potential ways to address the level discrepancy that Cross-Factioning here would create (this is assuming the removal of Veteran Ranks puts everything at Level 50):
    1. Downscale the Level 50 player to the average level of the content
    2. Keep the separate "Veteran" instance, but allow Veteran players of that alliance to enter it as well
      • Since they will have already finished the questline at this point, those players would either be able to group up with the other alliance players to help them through it again, and/or would need some content specifically for them to do there, such as repeatable daily quests.

I think the faction separation is necessary to maintain the storyline for the 1-50 experience, but I completely agree that the Veteran experience should be cross-faction. (Do a search on the forums for Cross-Faction PvE to find other aspects of this.)

my ideal solution MOAR content that gives an alternate route to v14 wrothgar may help a bit but ideally more zones with interesting quests and story some nice (large delves with interesting mechanics and layout) and for gods sake make it more challenging but with better end of quest ep rewards. Think like shadas tear original difficulty with a decent exp reward at the end. That way if you want to venture into the other factions you have that OPTION with silver and gold but you are not FORCED to. The difficulty increase on the delves would help as I feel the total lack of challenge make things feel more grindy not less as you completely switch off.
In my ideal world there would be say 5 new zones with the first being slightly easier than original vet difficulty but curving up wards in difficulty and exp reward with each successive zone. note the difficulty and exp gain should only apply to delves wb and dungeons not overland trash. That way a amazing player could challenge him/herself trying to clear all zones solo. where as others could solo until they started to struggle and then group if needed or redo the interesting delves in the zone they are comfortable at.

I agree with this but it'll be YEARS before we have that much more content.

At the current rate decades or possibly millania lol. but I'd rather them work on that than rebalancing all vet content or trying to implement cross faction. as that would still be the same tired content and would take away from the alliance war story.
where as my way is new shiny stuffs :) and options they are good to play how you want and all that.

The VR-level silver and gold quests have long been a running joke.

I have to agree with this. I can't even bring myself to do them any more.

I've been playing video games for over fifteen years and the ESO endgame is, without equal, the worst ending on any video game I've ever played. It makes no sense. None at all. And this is the best end game ESO could come up with? Me doing quests for other factions?

Lazy? Hasty? Does the reason we ended up with this really even matter?

I've played the quests in each faction with different characters. That's really all I'm willing to do.

The biggest reasons I have for maintaining my ESO plus are these. First, I tend to buy things from the crown store, so I figure if I"m going to spend 15 bucks on crowns anyway, I might as well get an experience boost to go along with it. And second, my goal is to kick butt in Cyrodiil so I want to try to level up as fast as possible. At VR10 I'm hitting a close to 2:1 kill ratio in PvP.

Its been discussed many times before, most say its not worth and there has been even suggestions how to add more value to it. I think they should give some boosters with it, like 10 monthly booster, that should give motivation to play I think, boosters are way better than some bore-passive 10% boost, real boosters actually encourage playing, I bet it feels better too to get them than some passive boost what you dont even notice. Also think about the future when they add Imperial City, more adventure zones, so basically ES+ could give Craglorn, Imperial City and new solo adventure zone for example, more stuff they add more value ES+ gets.
