The Ebonheart Pact is too powerful

Hello,

I play ESOTU on the PS4 on the European server and I absolutely love PvP. However, I'm in the Aldmeri Dominion and you only have a chance to win if you're in the Ebonheart Pact. It seems this game is pro EP and hates the Aldmeri Dominion. I don't understand how the scoring works but it's always the same; Ebonheart Pact gets the most potential points, Daggerfall Covenant second, Aldmeri Dominion last. No matter what, the Aldmeri Dominion hardly gets any points, even if they got the most castles and stuff.

It also looks like this community is licking the boots of the Ebonheart Pact 'cause they're always full, but how? Nostalgic people who take a Nord 'cause they want to go back to Skyrim? Come on man, explore some new stuff. Dark Elves? They're kinda cool, I can live with that. Oh, and don't let me talk about Argonians, I think they're actually worthless. And if you look at the viewpoints, the Ebonheart Pact isn't good either... AND Nords are racists to elves, but for some reason the Dark Elves join with them. Dark Elves took Argonians as their slaves but Argonians are so weak they decided to join with them 'cause they can't beat them I guess. So these 3 races don't even like each other... but hey, that's my opinion, but I think for a fact the Aldmeri Dominion has the best viewpoints. I got nothing against the Daggerfall though. I don't take the game too serious, but viewpoints are the most important things when joining an alliance, right?

But anyway, I hope this is all just coincidence and that other alliances are winning in other campaings. Please let me hear how your campaign goes 'cause I'm curious. I don't wanna play for nothing.

Scoring at the time of this writing works like so:
1 pt. for resources.
1 pt. for outposts.
3 pts. for keeps.
15 pts. for Elder Scrolls.

Potential points are only valuable at the point of a scoring evaluation. These occur at consistent intervals and convert Potential points into actual Score.

Because of TES5, Ebonheart is overpopulated on your server and the NA PC/Mac server. Further perpetuating it is, as you said, join the horde to win. Thus many alliances lose population as players seek an easy win. This is population imbalance and it kills PvP in the long term. However, there is little ZOS can do to sway players into leaving the overpopulated Ebonheart Pact. Buffing low population and low scoring alliances is all ZOS can do short of locking accounts to alliances, which has proven to not be enough incentive to overcome the quick and effortless wins of the horde. It falls on us players to correct this, for the longevity of ESO's AvA.

Corrective measures from the players are finally coming in on NA PC/Mac as Ebonheart guilds are leaving for other alliances.

Can't comment on the PS4 environment because I play on PC, but faction dominance tends to be cyclical and the reasons people roll races/factions are *a lot* more diverse than you are mentioning.

On PC, AD was the dominant faction at launch and there was a time when EP finished in last. So, Skyrim nostalgia did not make a difference. Over time, some of the best DC players left the game and the EP guilds began organizing themselves better and now EP is the dominant faction on PC.

As for the actual viewpoint represented in the game, the Aldmeri Dominion has the strongest racist sentiments. Just by doing the main quest on Auridon, it is quite clear that many of the Altmer are actually serious enough about their racist views to kill, whereas the Nordic variety is based more on ignorance that does not prevent them from cooperating with other races.

Here is one of the Lore Books that you will find in Auridon:

The kingdoms of the Daggerfall Covenant are inhabited by mongrel upstarts who have cruelly suppressed our Direnni cousins: the High Elves who are the rightful rulers of northwest Tamriel. wow on the ps4 NA side im on ebonheart and the aldmeri dominion is the one that has the population...so strange how that works out. i was actually thinking of switching to AD cuz of all the times im zerged by 10 ppl at a time...but my EP char is already to high level to just start over lol

I don't give no crap about night capping AD, they suck period

It's not like when you win a campaign you receive a 10,000,000 AP in the mail.
You win the campaign, you just earn a few more gold than others, woopy doo.
I'd rather be with EP than AD... Because getting DOUBLE, TRIPLE the amount of AP is way better than a few gold.
I mean...
You win the campaign you get 10,000 gold.... Which isn't enough to buy you jack. Everyone talks about, everyone has a million, cuz stuff for V14 costs 200,000 gold.... 10,000 gold isn't going to get you nothing.
Now having 1 to 2 MILLION more AP....
I can buy A LOT more stuff with that and convert that to a LOT more gold than winning a campaign.

AP gain isn't a measure of skill, you realize that right? Not to say those players aren't skilled, because I respect them all, but just because you gain more AP doesn't mean you're "spanking" anyone... It just means you're farming more/better.

I think AD and DC pugs are pretty bad, so its not hard to farm AP off them, but point is that AP isn't a measure of skill. EP pugs zerg around in South-Ga 2.0 type groups, which is harder for opposing alliances to farm on a consistent basis, whereas AD and DC have a decent amount smaller groups and more solo players.

That and the fact every EP person doesnt have to worry about leveling there chars outside of PvP where as ALL AD people are stuck on The Prisoner of Jathsogur quest.

Hopefully the map stays like this and EP fools keep gate camping. Helps with the AP gain. 14 days of this crap might even get me some master weapons.

And this is why EP is overpopulated on PC NA because people in DC and AD did make the switch, to EP.

New players are getting confused, something must be done already.
Just paint all the smurfs and bananas green and give them a nice griffon banner. Daggerfall Dominion.
Then increase the queue for EP by 100% and populations are finally balanced.

Lol this is sad and funny at the same time cause in the thornblade campaign ep has 90k dc has 40k and ad has 30k and if you add dc and ad you still don't add up to ep they're very over powered and constantly are full due to people wanting to win so much my entire alliance was struggling to defend the area where you spawn first coming into cyrodiil and no I'm not referring to a keep im referring to the actual area where to spawn when you're out of keeps to spawn to they literally had us cornered it was rather amusing and depressing cause i didn't think you could even attack that part i thought it was free area

TSoul has a point. I'm in Thornblade on the Xbone EU server, and ever time we defend Black Boot or Blood Mayne, we end up pushing the AD right back past their scroll.it gets boring, I like the sieges, they're fun. It's gotten to the point where me and mine head to a delve or a Dolmen whilst it kicks off at the gate.

Having said that, the amount of times we've been able to get to the spawn because of the players themselves have split is pretty silly.

The one that sticks out most is when there were 6 of us (EP) hidden, and around 20-30 AD hitting the walls with about 5-6 trebuchets. An AD revealed me, so we kill him, ran into the AD, talking about how we'll have to regroup at Faregyl, and then, 3 of us left, every AD ran. Every one. We'd killed 3-4 between us.

There were two EP defending the keep, us outside (we were the main force and got trapped), and that's it, and we made nearly 4 times our number run. That's not OP, that's people playing badly. One of us survived the chase down, and still every AD ran back to the gate. By the time they came back out, we'd gotten to the river from Faregyl, fully regrouped at the bottom of the river, had repaired all the damage done to the wall, had more players on, and less AD for some reason.

We spent 20 minutes at the wall killing anyone who came close to coming out.

Uh, not sure what you're talking about but.... EP has lost every week so far on PS4's non-vet campaign. DC has won each week so far.

I mean most of the ad people are noobs that have just started playing a game like this and have no clue wtf they're doing and the only reason they join ad is because their add kicks in and they go "oooh kitty" or "hmm a wood elf or high elf i think I'll be like legolas" granted there are a few people here in ad who try to communicate but it's rather one sided even if dc and ad were to work together
