    You do realize that this is a user contributed summary from the ESO Live last Friday, right? ZOS doesn't provide transcripts, but they did provide the answers to "As us Anything" in this comment.

    Some of what they said (not an all inclusive list of fixes in the patch):
    • Some Cyrodiil crash fixes revolving around teleporting to keeps or forward camps
    • Invisible NPC frequency has been "decreased". In the event you do run into an invisible NPC, wait 30 seconds and they should appear. This is an "in-progress" solution that will be fully resolved in a future patch.
    • Grouped VR character of any level will receive XP and loot when grouped regardless of level discrepancy.
    • Improved overall performance when there are lots of players loading into the same area and also in areas where there are a lot of particle effects.
    • The login queue place in line and wait time will now function properly - actually replaced by a "progress bar"
    • VOIP fixes - Voice Chat
    • Game settings should now save more reliably
    • Numerous UI fixes

    Thanks. I've been looking all over for any information on today's downtime. The lack of information is comically sad from a major studio. If I left my customers in the dark regarding a service interruption, I would be in a world of hurt. I would really love to see more timely, informative and accurate communication on these forums in regards to downtime. I did not even know we were getting a patch today until after the servers came down.

    And I see nothing in the AmA of importance.

    Patch notes and down times are a very simple request.

    The official forums should keep us well informed, at current state they are pretty useless.

    There has been a banner at the top for ages, saying there would be downtime (11am for us), and that the patch notes, iirc, will be shown when the maintenance is finished..

    Banner says maintenance, maintenance and patching are not the same thing.

    Maintenance is more of a fixing server issues while patching is fixing in-game issues.

    Thats the simplest way to explain it.

    Its a patch so there is no normaly. Every patch is different.
    When they say before maintance is 2 h, first threats will be open with something like "why 2 hours"? and the next ones after 121min when it takes longer.
    So just look at the banner and when server is back again it will be shown there incl. patchnotes...

    I've actually seen some pretty great notice when it comes to down time in the 3 or so times I've experienced it. I keep an eye out both here and their twitter account to stay updated. This particular downtime was announced a couple of days ago (if I'm not mistaken), so I've been preparing for it since. It's also the reason why I spent the last 15 minutes of my gaming time wrapping up things rather than trying to start something new.

    It seems they've been working on a lot of stuff lately, which I'm personally okay with. In the future you should take a glance on here for those types of notices (they put it in yellow at the top to make it easy to see). I'm sure you'll find them as helpful as I do!

    AM I mis-reading that...Forward Camps.... First line of the summary.

    Isn't that what they removed from PC early last year due to abuse from the PC Format? And even as soon as yesterday @ZOS_BrianWheeler is saying they won't be implemented....

    Or am I going mad here?..... (checks date/time stamp as well...)

    I'm a little spoiled by other mmos so I do kinda expect to know a little more about what they are doing for us before they do it...I like to fill the time with reading the notes, and daydreaming about how I will use said notes in game. Last thing I want to do when the servers come back up is read patch notes!
    P.S....maybe you could give us some more interesting achievements that don't entail you completely beating the game or being the best pvper in the campaign

    ETA's are always groovy, but anyone expecting 100% uptime on an MMO needs to re-evaluate their gaming choices. But I am sorta sad I didn't sleep in this morning now that I know the server is down for an undetermined amount of time.

    This maintenance is actually helping the invisible people, and a couple hours a week of downtime is more than worth it if they are making the game better.

    They are testing the forward camps before they get reintroduced. This means ability to spawn within the designated range (read: limited range) among other criterias to make sure they are used as intended. We both agree that they have been abused to the ground during the original implementation but hope this time around ( maybe when Brian tells us when they do get implemented) , the kinks are worked out.

    The demand of an MMO on equipment and general technology wear and tear causes issues.

    No matter how much a studio tests, gamers will always find more issues.

    Its understandable that MMO's are going to have downtime and unfortunately giving an ETA to the customer base means not always pleasing everyone, but a 'rough' timetable for those that like to plan things with their guilds and around their schedules would be considerate. There are those gamers out there that understand if they don't meet the deadline or if they have to extend it.

    Welll exactly. This is revolving around limited forward camps, which some of us still has and I can confirm (which I actually bug reported several weeks ago), makes you crash. That happened in AD defending Alessia anyone which I and some people had some to spare to keep the defense (but alas we lost it, but I digress)

    So what I don;t get then, and please, maybe I'm just being completely ruddy stupid on this....but if it's been and has been removed in the PC version, due to the reason we know about abuse.... Why did they then include it in a Live environment on Console?

    The live console environment is NOT a test environment, much as the PC version should not be a Test environment...

    You mention that some of you still have them so therefore, the mechanic to use them, is live in the Console version, yet you can not use them in the PC Version, where I assume the mechanic is turned off?

    You can still have them in PC and still use them, just with limited uses. You can't buy it anymore and I'm sure that people that transferred to console from PC might possibly have them as well. But this has happened in PC previously.

    Taking sooo long :( A timeframe would be nice so we dont have to wait around for hours. If youve checked the status update page youll notice sometimes its ten minutes, or thirty, or an hour. It varries. You dont know to go on about your business or keep checking the game.

    Some people actually play the game and not dwell on the forums. More than likely only came here since not able play game with servers being down at the time.

    Chances are the member probably was referring to there should be a message a few days in advance where we sign in on the server page stating when downtime will be happening.

    Really suggest instead of being such a mean spirited person you could support said person in helping to find a solution to the lack of communication the developers have with us players.
