Will there ever be Forward Camps again?

I miss the days of epic battles ant 40k defense ticks... I know ZOS removed FC's because they could not find a way to fix them. Will they ever be re-implemented? I miss having FC's (even though I have 40 in the bank awaiting the day I can take off from work and push for emp.)

    There has been said it would come back one day, but just mostly different. Like guild only, or much smaller area and much less to place.

    It would be nice to have them back imo, as long they are not being used for trolls.

    Imo, if they go Guild Only FC's other FC's should not interfere with the placement of another FC. That would negate troll camps. The only negative side to FC's in the past IMO were troll camps...ZOS may have had their own reasons for removing them but they didn't clearly state those reasons.... or did they?

    Hi Zeni, putting aside problems such as un-fixed bugs and exploits, FCs need to come back if you want people to continue playing and enjoying Cyrodiil. The main reason is people don't want to play an equestrian simulator and want fast access to, ya know, the PvP action. If you want to encourage more people to participate in PvP, particularly casual players who are the core of your customers going forward, bring back FCs.

    Disabling the grass may improve performance.

    They've been "testing" this same actually sound idea for what 6-9 months now? If that doesn't say it all, idk what else I could tell you. Don't you know re-skinning the same mount over and over and selling them on the crown store is more important?

    That is extremely disappointing to hear. This game was 10 times more fun before the forward camps were removed.

    simple, bring the camps back but make them show on the map for all players. Then if you want to use the camp you need guards to defend it.

    I started on console so I didnt know what a forward camp was, I just looked up a video of one on YouTube and it looked like an awesome feature, I hope its brought back in game.

    This. Even though I'd like to see them back, I was kind of happy when they removed hte FC's. The fights were just unfair, and after removal would require bit more grouping and strategy. But now this also brings the problem some Alliances are bringing too many zergs formed up in a ball brainlessly destroying everything on their path.

    It's perfectly fair gameplay and not to blame for, but it kind of ruins the PvP experience some times. This shouldn't be the way how succes in Cyrodiil works. It does not require skill, only a Teamspeak and someone who tells what to take next. I don't know if this can be helped with FC's but I think if you do it right it might do something good. Few other ideas maybe: PvP player collision (but don't know if that's the best idea), encourage and buff skills like Detonation so it is possible to spread out a zergball, give NPC's such skill to place certain AoE on a person, ...

    I really like this idea tbh and Im normally a grumpy git... gives a real 'function' for people that prefer solo/small group play like myself, maintains action, and helps make camps more for defence than suicide bs

    Something like "static" forward camps could be an interesting solution.

    Basically, add some transitus to existing POIs, towns, or new smaller outposts, that are capturable by 4-man groups. Give these new transitus stones limited (time-based maybe) respawns.

    This gives some of the functionality of forward camps back, while also spreading out pvp, and giving smaller groups important objectives to attack and defend.

    Here, Zenimax should just have made a poll, instead of listening to the wrong voices who called for a removal of camps. Camps were great and with the right strategy, to first find the enemy camp, camps were not at all imbalanced, as some people wrongfully claim.

    Yup... pretty sure you guys also said that like what, 2 months ago, 4 months ago, half a year ago? How long are you going to keep up this "internal testing", are you even doing this? Hows the progress? Give us details. Why are you not bringing them back?

    Listen to your community. FCs need to return.

    Removing FCs was the biggest mistake ever, it changed nothing in fact it made everything worse. There is only PvP at keeps and outposts, and the same huge zergs running back and forth between Sej and BRK for example. All day long 24/7. Ever since FCs were removed it made PvP very boring and repetitive.

    If you wont listen to your players then that's your loss, more and more people will quit because PvP is already dying. But it doesn't matter right? Since there is tons of $$$ to be made on consoles.

    People who kept them or who get the limited version for the intro quest can still use them. They just aren't sold anymore by quartermasters and siege merchants. Fixing a bug with spawning at FCs doesn't necessarily mean they are selling FCs on console versions.

    Bring them in like what Brian Wheeler proposed in the ESO Live. give them a smaller respawn radius and can only spawn in the radius with a cool down attached for respawning at a foward camp again.

    This will add a much needed dynamic to the battle field, but not make it stale like the other foward camps have done with blood porting.

    You have to realize FC's work both ways.... when the offense is using one to stream in players, so is the Defense when a keep is bursted it allows players to Blood Port there to defend... which you cannot do when a keep is bursted. So this is mute.

    I miss fc. I understand arguments of some players that lack of fc gives more of the strategy feeling but over all its a game it should be entertaining and with current TTK or rather TTD for me its certainly not.

    I know ZOS removed FC's because they could not find a way to fix them.

    Thing is, they were never really broken, from a technical standpoint. They always worked as intended. If I recall, the reason they did this is because the troll camping situation was getting way out of hand, and map control was boiling down to logistics instead of actual combat. I don't remember them making the lag any worse or better, except they probably did contribute to flag lag.
