How to fix texture files in ESO

I recently started playing the game again, but I have many bright purple " filler " texture files that are missing from my game. Posted screen shot to explain. Would love a fix ( I tried repairing through the game launcher already)

This on PC? Looks like a video card going bad. If on PC run this see what it says.

I ran the benchmark and my system got a 983, I'm not super familiar with it, but it seems like the test went fine.

What are the graphics card and system specs? Which version of DX are you using?

AMD Athlon II x4 645 Processor (3.1 GHz)

DX 11

( If you need more information I can provide it, this was a basic list of everything I thought might be relevant under " system specs " )

I don't know Radeon cards these days, but I assume from your summary that the setup meets the game's requirements. Have you tried updating or rolling back your graphics card drivers? If the card isn't at fault then it could be the drivers. Check the card's forum for any similar issues. Failing all that, it might be worth completely uninstalling the game and re-installing it just in case there's something that the repair function didn't pick up. It does sound like the graphics card tho' - are you running any other equally demanding games and are they performing ok?

@johnjgivensb14_ESO, please also try running a repair of the game client's files, if you haven't already. A repair will find any potentially missing or corrupted texture or shader data and re-download it. The option can be found in the Launcher's cog wheel menu. If this doesn't help, please open a tech support ticket here.

Hi @johnjgivensb14_ESO !

Thanks for reporting this! If a repair didn't fix this for you, you can try updating your UserSettings.txt file as well. Some players have reported that this has helped them.

What you can do is navigate to your UserSettings file, and temporarily put it on the desktop and rename it OLDUserSettings.txt so you can find it again if your game doesn't generate a new one for you. The next time you enter ESOTU, you should automatically have a fresh file created and this may resolve your issue by forcing everything back to default settings.

Thank you for the reply MollyH, I tried what you said, and unfortunately it didn't help. I have opened an official support ticket with ZOS and am hoping for more possible answers. You guys have some of the best customer service I've ever seen for a game.
