I missed the character transfer by mistake, so had to make a new build but loving it! How's everyone finding the console version as opposed to PC? Miss the chat box but that's kinda good thing as you don't get spammed by random stuff

Played on the PC since beta and then switched to console when it released. I'm really enjoying the console version and all of my friends are as well. I transferred just to help my friends with the game and help them get set up with materials and gold and bites and stuff, but I'm really thinking about just staying here. I love the PC and really miss the addons, but it feels really good on console. I hope they can tweak a few things and I'm sure they will, but overall I'm enjoying it.

    Enjoy console play.

For myself, last console I purchased was an X-Box 360. Sold that, after hardly ever playing it, and we use our PS3 as a Blueray player. From what I understand, you can't play PS3 games on the PS4, and we've quite a few PS3 games.

So won't be purchasing any more consoles.

Xbox one is going backwards compatible. PS4 will most likely join the ranks as Xbox is just using an emulator. Once PS4 follows suit all your games will still be good to play.

That's really nice of you to help all of your friends and stuff! Good on you!

I too just love the feel of the console, it's great! Although I miss the addons too! Wonder if there will be a way to implement that into the game from console

Don't get me wrong, I still know and understand PC is superior. But the console is a nice feel to just relax and play the game for once. Normally I do nothing but sit there spamming steel tornado or impulse and grinding until my eyes bleed, but on console I'm enjoying the game for the game lol. I'm not worried about catching up to anyone and feeling like they have an advantage on me. I've just been exploring the world all over again with my friends and it's been very enjoyable.

I played it on PC and I find the actual gameplay more entertaining on console. Without all the addons and the mmo ui, it really feels like Im playing the game the way it was meant to be played. I've recommended this game to my friends on console over pc. Pretty much the first game I've done that with.

I was on during the last two betas, and its release. I remember the train of bots in public dungeons, flying bots, ect.
I do miss the pc, but I find I like playing on the ps4. For one, I made an alternative Psn account that just deals with my craft stuff, leaving my main account Free to experiment with builds. Plus, I grew up on consoles. Atari, nes, snes, ect. Never played that many games on the pc. I'm rambling now.

I'm the exact same!! Been enjoying it all over again and clearing most if not all quests in each area until I get the ingame achievement! However I was VR2 on PC so I really am rushing in a way to get at least to VR, but in saying that it's really enjoyable sitting on the couch and playing it on TV. I was using HDMI for my laptop but it's great on console! :)

And yes there is no reasoning to why it's better on console. It's much of a muchness, I personally enjoy it but miss the addons

    HA I did

I personally like the console version better. I like the UI for the console and I like the easy and simple controller support. To me ESO is just more enjoyable being leaned back with my feet kicked up.

You do know with PC's I can kick my feet up and relax just like you and play the game on PC just fine. I can also use a controller if I want too.

I tried it on the XB1 and I much prefer PC. On PC I game at 1440p Ultra so the game looks a ton better on my PC. I also prefer the chat box over a mic (which I found no one using as intended. Anytime I heard a voice it was someone playing music, the in-game sounds, or some baby crying) and mouse/keyboard over a controller.

I'm just the opposite on this. Without some of the addons I feel half blind. Mostly really obvious stuff the ZoS should have included in the UI, like MiniMap. Or combat reticule because I hate being killed by surprise. I'm not a super player and not concerned with trying to be The Best but I don't like stumbling around wasting my play time.

Still, I do much prefer the gamepad for most actions and have programed one for ESO so it has functionality way beyond anything I have on PS3 in Skyrim. But I also have the keyboard & mouse available when that's good, like in the menus. IMO my PC + gamepad gives me the best of both worlds.

I guess for the addons, it makes it more a fair playing field for everyone? Like you know? Some people have all the addons which really help through game and some don't. Don't get me wrong I love them but yeah I see both sides. Maybe it will update with a patch in the future.

And yes to the sounds in the voice chat.... Or it's just kids. I haven't heard one intelligent thing yet... And yes, I know that happens everywhere

Played PC over 500 hours, switched to PS4, not going back i love it that much, Controller is 10x better and more fun than mouse and keyboard (like in most games even fps for me, more realistic) and the gfx are 1080p and good enough and dam i was in pvp with like 200 people and no lag at all, felt like a solid 30 fps still, even pc cant do that xD

The only thing i really hear PC gamers talk about in any game comparison is GFX, not the fun of the game, a shame modern PC gamers only care about fps and gfx, they're not true gamers anymore just false glamor chicks

Yes, but not having native controller support just didn't work for me. I used Xpadder and Pinnacle and just couldn't get a decent set up like the have built into the console versions with different buttons having multiple uses. However, I still constantly reach for my keyboard trying to hit the unmapped keys I had on the PC version.

    EXACTLY THIS

Want to see your friends list? have to move to your keyboard, want to take a screenshot? same, make a video? even harder...

I tried explaining htis to a guy on youtube yesterday but he was as ignorant as the rest of em, on ps4 i can go from game to friends to twitch to videos to game in seconds all while sat across my room with my feet up.

And those profilers like xpadder jsut feel wrong, you always have to use a mouse on games as they can never be fully mapped and it just feels so tacky and cheap.

I did, but I missed the transfer period. When I tried to buy the 20$ deal it wouldn't show up in the store, and ZoS blamed it on me. Yea I was a bit heated.

Any nerds out there have both console and PC versions? I missed the transfer offer simply because I was thinking about a few years down the road. There will be a PS5 and a new Xbox eventually. Do you really think console pops will remain in those times to support a console MMO? At least I can bank on a PC MMO being around for a while...I mean, I don't have to worry about buying a new computer and my game not being suddenly compatible with it (assuming the new consoles don't support the older games)

But I have the extra cash to spend and was really thinking about picking up the XBox version as well. Maybe if my campaign is dry for the night I could hop over on my Xbox toon...that sort of thing.

Played Skyrim on the PS3 before ever playing it on the PC. Guess its an age thing, and I'm an old *** who played Wolfenstein 3D (the original DOS-based game, not the newer one) in college, so once I played Skyrim on the PC, it was no contest. The control for me on a keyboard and mouse was ten times better than a clunky, handheld controller.

I will be staying. Already uninstalled PC version. I had some doubts about PVP but its not bad. Most of all I just love my big TV-screen. I wish I would know if they are gonna add the chat or no. I should I get mic, and try to find social guild or no. But otherwise Im set.

What is the go with PVP anyway? I never played much of it on PC, but when I tried on console it said that your character would be levelled... Yet computer enemies were VR level and I got destroyed

Have both PC and PS4. Am enjoying console. My only issue is hitting the X when I don't mean to, learning curve for the fingers I expect. Regarding local chat, was doing mages guild quest (lvl 40 or so) and had my local chat on, there was no one around, or so I thought. A "hello" came across so responded. We grouped up and chatted about PC, Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind. We also finished the quest. There are good times out there, sometimes you just have to kiss a few frogs to get to the prince.
  • Cyrdiniian
I have also played both and enjoy the console version more. I think in my case it's because I played Oblivion and Skyrim on console and that's how I am used to playing them. I found using keyboard controls and mouse clunky, however I know others (who no doubt are used to it) find the PC controls superior.

I actually think it's up the personal preference of the user.

I've actually not been able to play this game yet. I bought the pc version last year with hopes of the console transfer even though I don't have a pc...the console was supposed to get released shortly afterwards...
anyhow I missed it like you but not paying for it again, maybe if they treated their customers better I wouldn't mind purchasing it twice but meh.
