Group leader keeps changing on it's own (Xbox One)

This has been happening for me (and my group) for the last two days. Group leader will randomly change and then it's like no one has group lead. Just now actually, I was group leader for the last half hour and suddenly the other person in the group that I'm playing with right now says that the crown disappeared from my character and when I looked he had the crown. I didn't assign him group leader, it just changed on it's own and when he tried to give it back to me it wouldn't let him. The option isn't there. Neither of us can do anything that as group leader now. We can't invite anyone to the group or anything. This is very strange. This is on the Xbox One, forgot to add that.
