Can't send mail "player doesn't exist"

I'm on xb1 and trying to send some items to a friend to help him out but every time j press send I get an error code and a message saying he doesn't exist ! The process I used was social>friends>friend(gamertag)> send maill. This has worked when I send items to other friends it only seems to be this one specific friend anyone else encountered this?

Going to the players profile I'm game and adding as favorite works. I've done this many times. It will bypass the bug.

I get this also... Have multiple friends I can't send mail to.

Nope that is not it... Same friends are online and still "Don't exist"

And offline friends can be sent mail. Do it all the time just certain individuals always get the message above.

The friend I'm trying to mail stuff to his gamertag is all one word

I had the same issue for a friend on xb1, no spaces in gamertag, and we were even online and grouped together.

Having the same issue no matter who I'm trying to mail to in my friends list or in my current online group.

I can't send email to anyone in friends list group or guild roster. Though the way I have found around this is to go to their gamer page and add as friend even with people I am already friends with. after adding as friend I can email them. I only have to do it once per log in. if I leave or get kicked then I have to add as friend again.

Hey GinaBruno, I can confirm that having a space in their gamertag is not the only cause. I have 7 friends on my list and in our guild. There are three of these users who I cannot send email to: two have spaces the other does not. With these three users, I get the error mentioned by the OP. The error occurs whether they are online or not, and whether they are in game or not, and whether we were in group or not.

Still experiencing this issue, on Europe mega server. I can't mail items or money to my friend in game. From the Social > Friends > (Select my friends name) > Send Mail > Attach Item/cash > Send. To get a Error "There is no player with that name." The funny thing about this bug, is that I asked my friend to send me mail and he can... If I send the mail back to him as return to sender it actually goes through... I'm wondering if it just registered his name wrong or something on my friends list perhaps... I just donno what I have to actually type in for it to go to him...

Not the case. I can not send mail to anyone, in guild, out of guild, on friends list, not on friends list.

I have the same issue seems random but permanent I either can send mail to someone or I can't it's not the spaces as it happens to friends without spaces as well

Some of my friends can't send mail to me and I have 0 spaces in my name

You can't mail or whisper cross-faction unless they're already on your in-game friends list, or in the same guild as you. If it isn't the space error, it may be that.

Same problem friend has no spaces and it doesn't recognize his gamertag. It started with only him now anyone on my friends list is "not found". It's a pain when we aren't near each other but need to give the other an item or crafting material and have to travel to each other and trade instead of just useing the mail system.

@Pizza_Magician if you're looking to trade gold/items between characters you can use the bank

I have found a fix for this issue, a friend and I had the same problem to fix it go to social tab, friends, view profile, this will take you to dashboard click on favorite or friend button even if they are already there then click ok. Go back to game you should now be able to send them mail. Hope this helps.

yeah, I can't send mail to someone either. No spaces in their gamertag either. This is beyond weird.
