Zones per faction

So I was looking around and actually came across that AD has less zones than the two other factions.

My question is did anyone else notice this and is there a specific reason behind it in lore? I would assume that the "size" of the AD zones might be a touch bigger but just trying to understand. Only reason I even noticed is because my friend chose AD for us (always been EP) and I noticed AD also has the least amount of bank locations of any faction as well.

    AD only has one starter island vs. EP's and DC's two starter islands. But the size of AD's starter island is twice the size as the others. From what I know this is the only difference in the number of zones between alliances.

    That's only because the other 2 alliances each have 2 starter zones, while AD has a single, larger starter zone. The amount of content in Khenarthii's Roost is roughly equivalent to the content in Stros M'kai and Betnikh, or Bleakrock Isle and Bal Foyen. All alliances have the same number of full zones.

    It actually doesn't, sort of.

    Basically AD has a big starter island whereas the other two factions each have two smaller starter islands. So I guess technically you're right, but in terms of content it's roughly the same.

    Well I'm guessing it's based on the lore, yes. Not every alliance can be of the same size, and it seems like AD is the smallest - many of it being islands, etc.
    But they compensated it with having more quests and having bigger areas.

    Every Faction has 5 zones plus the Starter Islands. Now, one Faction only has one island but it is the same size content wise as the other two that have two areas, and one faction has an island and then a peninsula that is really part of the first zone.

    So, really, only one faction has two starter islands.

    But they are all about the same size content and geography wise if you add them all together.

    As far as banking locations, some zones have two banks, most have just one bank. AD has 8 banks, EP has 7, DC has 6. So Daggerfall Covenant has the least banks.

    Every faction has the same number of large faction zones. Kenarthi's Roost (AD), Stros M'Kai and Bethnikh (DC), as well as Bleakrock Isle and Bal Foyen (EP) are introductory islands and areas. They have been made optional shortly before launch, with the possibility to go back and play there for the first few levels. From the scope of their content and experience to be had they are roughly equal.

    Heck, I just discovered that bank about two weeks ago. I mean, its a guy standing next to a cart up on a wood platform, who would have thought it was a bank.

    Heck, I just discovered that bank about two weeks ago. I mean, its a guy standing next to a cart up on a wood platform, who would have thought it was a bank.
    Wait... what? I think I'm thinking of a different bank in Khenarthi's Roost than you are... The only bank I know there is in Mistral inside the main town hall (or whatever it is) where you first meet the Silvenar. That doesn't sound like what you're describing though... Are there 2 banks in Khanarthi's Roost?

    Ohhh, that makes sense. I totally know the banker you're talking about, and it took me a while to realize he was a banker too.
