Got stuck inside an iron maiden

While in Cold Harbor, I was hit hard from behind and got knocked into an iron maiden. I could not move. I was able to search the iron maiden while inside. Quitting the game put me back inside and stuck again. Since I did not get too far, I deleted the character. This happened on the EU server. I would not want this to happen if I had advanced any farther.

I suggest you "Run to the hills"!

If you get stuck again, make sure to use the built-in "unstuck" function, which is available on all platforms. If you're playing on PC, you can type /stuck. If you're playing on console, navigate to the Help menu and select the Get me unstuck option. If that doesn't work, try opening your map and traveling to a nearby wayshrine.

Thanks for the info. I heard that you can quit the game and wait 15 minutes. Using the unstuck options sounds better. I will probably get stuck in something again.

I think you may be confusing that with not being able to exit a quest instance, such as those you have to go to for the Main Story, I've never heard of a character being 'freed' after some time and in my limited experience of being stuck behind some plants in a dungeon it didn't.

Okay, I see that the 15 minute thing would fix it in a Coldharbour instance, as long as it isn't the tutorial one, but that would mean you being kicked from the instance whereas /stuck should take you back to the rezz. point just inside the entrance.
