Mega Discussion Thread

Place for all us new console players to discuss all things ESO - and not get in the way of the PC master race.

How is everyone doing?

How far through are you all after Tuesdays release?

Any thoughts on improvements or criticisms ?

Could be further along if I didn't spend a few minutes queuing at peak times, but it's to be expected with a release to millions of console users.
Zos are working hard though on our issues; seems each day, things get a little smoother.

Yeah I mean it's to be expected like you said. I have done a few group session with some mates which was fun but I'm also really enjoying the stories behind the quests - Trying not to rush through it like I do with most MMO's

iv just reached lvl 24 and im loving it so much.. been looking forward to this game since pc launch, never had a pc that could run it..and besides the first day, since that maintenance last night the game has run so smooth for me did get any lag or get kicked once, only thing i have a problem with is the new players that dont know how to play but thats to be expected most of these players have never played an mmo before, just got to give them time to understand the game...but other than that my experience so far has been awesome

Yeah I absolutely love it - I even prefer it to Skyrim if I dare say it!

I know people like to read anger into everything people type. It's cool.

Not angry. I just see the majority of threads on the first page or 2 are console. If I make a thread specific to PC issues it gets buried fast due to all the console threads. That's why it's irksome to see a thread like this. But it's cool homey

I hope things go well this weekend for y'all!!! The faster they iron out the login issues for console, the faster they can start fixing (if it's possible) all the huge latency issues on PC. Well, that sounded selfish.

New player here on Xbox One. Currently lvl9 and enjoying it, apart from the invisible NPC problem every now and again and my crowns from my ESO+ sub not showing up yet. A minor inconvenience that I'm sure will be patched up soon enough.

Haven't joined a player guild yet, but I want to get further along and more experienced with the game before I do that. Always been a Lone Wolf kind of player anyway, even on MMOs.

Kind of understandable seeing as the console version was only released a few days ago and has introduced a large number of new players to the game, all of whom have questions.

Xbox One and I've enjoyed it so far, haven't waited more than 5 minutes to login yet and I can deal with that. Only thing I've noticed I would like to see is an in-game way to block individual player's chat quickly, the game itself has been great.

Yeah I'm sorry about that - had quite a big fall out with a PC chap through private messages so I was quite irritable!

Yeah hopefully they will help you all out! I'm quite surprised however as to why it hasn't been fixed before.. lets face it its not a new game

Yeah me too with the whole lone wolf - I enjoy spending time to properly read the speech and quests, gets you more immersed! I too am level 9 so your more than welcome to add me (GT: Have a Pancake). I'm currently in a guild with a mate from twitch.tv which is great... I wouldn't be able to do groups all the time though! I need that peace and quiet balance sometimes!

Curious as to how much 'solo' stuff a player can get away with...
It is an MMO after all, but working alone does ease the transition from playing single player RPG's into this as you do get the sense that you need to group/guild/team to get something done.
Sure, it'll come as a frustrating shock to some console users, expecting a co-op Skyrim, but I think is done well to the point that the transition is smooth.

I'm PC master race and console. This game sucked on PC a year ago (played in beta). ESO is so much more fun on console. I'm playing on PS4 and having a blast!

Yeah like I said I've done 90% solo and a little bit of group stuff... A lot of the bosses were incredibly hard to take down however - like you said meaning they may be aimed more towards grouped game play.

I think for console folks the main reason is they are more comfortable with playing games on a console. It makes no sense to say it's so much more fun on console. Of course, if added "my opinion is" which I'm sure is the meaning.

Factually, graphics are better on PC, UI (in my opinion) with minimap on PC is better, and just having more options is better.

I'm more comfortable playing on my PC then I am on a console. I love having the OPTION to use my 17 button mouse with every single button mapped. And then also having the ability to use my keyboard to map other things.

This idea that you can only play from your couch on a console is a misnomer. Those of us that have the gumption made that happen on PC as well.

This is mostly opinion. The only facts (in my post) are that the graphics are better on my PC and there are more options for PC. There are more I'm sure but those are the 2 big ones for me. Oh, and chat box. My word I would hate playing any MMO without a chat box. But that's me.

I fell out with a guy in PM's that was saying we are (console players) taking over the forums.. now I understand it can be frustrating so after talking to a lady from ZOS suggested making a thread soley for us

Of which with my opinion I can understand your reasons. PC will inevitably have superior graphics until console pull their fingers out their bums but that's never gona happen..

It's clear that with release on 2 massively populated platforms, the number of console posts would be huge, especially in the week after release.
There's plenty of room in the sandbox.

But again, regardless of how obvious it is, many console users don't seem to get it. Perhaps it's because they typically don't surf threads all day to understand the importance of placing the thread into the correct forum area. ::shrugs::
