Offline Mode!

Let me spell it out. The name of the game is Elder Scrolls Online. O-N-L-I-N-E. It's in the name for heavens sake. Kind of negates the purpose of having an ONLINE game

Phantasy Star Online episodes 1 and 2 and Phantasy Star Universe. But the offline portion didn't mix with online

Fair enough, the PSO games were some of the few MMOs that I didn't play or at least try, thus forgot about.

I've been staring at my screen for, eh, maybe 10 minutes now. I still can't think of one good reason besides login speed to have a offline mode. Are the server maintenance times and queue times really bothering you that much?

Yep...Offline mode is called "Skyrim", can't wait until next TES release? It can be called "Fallout 4" too.

Seriously though, it will calm down in a few weeks and "queues" will be a thing of the past.

Apparently some players have never bothered to research what an MMO actually is before buying it. It just blows my mind that so many people don't bother to do any research before jumping into something... I experienced this all the time playing DCUO. Players never bothering to understand game mechanics, loadouts, crafting, etc... they just expected to jump in and WIN without any thought process involved. This, of course, created major issues when pugging groups because 9x out of 10, players had no clue and just expected to get through content without knowing what they were doing.

What I've discovered, having played both PC and PS4 versions of DCUO, was that the majority of players who couldn't be bothered to research, were console players. I found playing on PC better because the people tended to be more friendly and helpful and usually understood game mechanics and kept up to date on game changes. Most console players expect to simply 'plug and play'... which is why I play offline games on console and MMOs on PC.
