The Official "Please add text chat to console versions because this is an MMO" thread.

Welp. The title pretty much says it all. There is no community. No guild communication, no lively marketplace, and no organized combat in Cyrodiil which is the selling point of this game. This isn't Destiny, this is an MMO. You just cannot find a group in Cyrodiil without text chat, not with ease at least.

There needs to be text chat in this game because it is an MMO. Plain and simple, a very important part of communication and keeping the community alive in these games.

And guess what? If you don't want text chat? Start -> Options -> Text Chat on/off.

Is Zenimax hiring?

Every damn PS4 comes with an earbud, TURN IT ON! I promise we won't make fun of your voice. Damn unsocial ass Playstation gamers. Don't try and do a dungeon or party with me if no voice chat, yes, people are starting to get kicked out of groups because of it and I hope that continues!

Text chat has literally nothing at all to do w/ the problems that exist in the PC version.

Seriously, do a search. See how many threads there are ANYWHERE complaining about text chat in the PC version or asking for them to remove text chat. Come back w/ your answer.

Give us more options, not less.

Text chat was available in earlier builds prior to beta. Dev comments earlier in 2015 said it would be possible, then they made the conscious decision to remove it. So the code is sat there waiting to be reintroduced in a near-finished if not final form.

I would like to see it come back in.
