Gamertags? Issue or intentional?
What's the point in naming our characters in game if it's only going to display their Xbox Live gamertag or PSN ID?
It even tells us that name is taken so why even tell us we need to name our character and choose a different name when it is taken if it's not going to show up

I think they already know about it, and its kind of sad really. I agree there's no point in a name if it wont even show. Time might change things tho.))May your road lead you to warm sands.0 -

I want my PSN Name off of my Toon. I want to feel as if Im actually in an Elder Scrolls Game. They did all of this minimizing in regards to the UI to give it a more Elder Scrolls and Immersive feel. And yet they decide the PSN/XB1 UserID is the best option for the game?

Thalmont✭✭✭From what I understand the names are shared across all platforms so if someone on Pc is named Phil an Xbox player can't pick Phil. Rather use Gamertags for my characters. Pc has had a year advance to take every name you'd think of.0 -

You're okay with everybody seeing "Blinkgirl211" instead of your actual characters name?
In all honesty I think it's a little ridiculous to not have our characters names show. I hate seeing xx420_swagmasterxx and things like Gangsta_0G and whatever else people have as their gamer tags. It literally takes me out of the game.

Cjfowler66b14_ESOSoul ShrivenI agree with OP 100% it's one of my main gripes about the console version. Seeing other characters gamer tags with Random Capital Letters and numbers in it really takes away from the experience for some reason.
Oh and seeing the character names in Cyrodiil on the leaderboard but not their gamer tags is a real throw off0 -

Why name your character something other than Blinkgirl211? From now on every single character you make in ESO will be known as "Blinkgirl211" to everybody else, and in truth yourself. Granted...this isn't made by Bethesda, but it is and Elder Scrolls game.
Not seeing a player character name and seeing an Xbox One name really destroys immersion.

It's not a big issue like the servers crashing, being thrown out of games for apparent spamming but when you have to spend 20+ minutes to think of a unique name because the system tells you it's taken, it should show up0

100% agree, I think the interactive menu where people can access and view your profile should show your name/profile/activity and what not. I still feel it is not right to have Floating names as 420quickscopegangsta0G floating around in a bloody Bethe/zeni game. Breaks immersion.Charmanderevery timenothing ever beats charmander0
