NAME Auction House...changing MMORPG's forever!
So I'm sitting on XBOX ONE trying to name my character and I keep getting "Name is taken...try again". A very frustrating situation that I'd easily pay money to fix.
Then it dawns on me....the NAME Auction House...
How does it work?
- Players can offer names they have reserved to the auction house in exchange for crowns or money.
- Once a player purchases the name (with crowns or cash)...ESO gets a cut of the profit
- The player who sold the name now has to change his characters name
- The player who bought the name receives a notification that allows him to either assign the name he purchased to one of his current characters or create a new character using the name he purchased
This will ensure that desirable names will not be sitting in an account collecting dust. Also, the naming auction house can be used on the official website. It doesn't even have to be put into the game. Simply select your console...purchase...done.
The only way I can see this system being abused is if companies say that all the names are taken and use false names to sell regular names under. But I doubt that would happen.
